As of right now I have. 1. Texas High 2. Marshall 3. Hallsville 4. Whitehouse Hallsville would love nothing more than to take Marshall down and get a home playoff game. Should be a fun rivalry game again.

If Longview comes out firing on all cylinders again, it will be over by halftime.

Other than maybe Lancaster, who's Longview NOT going to destroy this year? At least until a few rounds deep in playoffs.

How many Marshall fans made this claim? We were just glad to be running the offense as well as we were in game 1 of new regime. Most of us said it'll be a blowout unless we played perfect and Longview makes a ton of mistakes We have completely gotten away from what we are good at. We will not play another team like Longview rest of season. They are D1 for a reason. This was always a game to build on going forward. It's prepared us for any future match up we may see. We also got to see how physical we need to be to succeed at a higher level.

Marshall has made a ton of mistakes. Playing nervous. Longview had a great game plan. Making Marshall throw the ball by bringing safeties up. Then using their pass to open up the running game. Haven't seen Longview throw the ball this often in awhile.

The #1 ranked team in big 5a vs unranked in small 5a. Should be a blowout. Especially when the smaller school has a new coaching staff.

All them bored at home "covid" babies signing up for preschool.

I have a feeling Cujo will be ready for this game. Especially if McFall is ready to go again. I think part of the issue was this game was already on the players mind going into last weeks game. No doubt they overlooked Marshall to some degree. Legacy has a good Dline, but other than that, JT has advantage.

Marshall's secondary sure could use Montana Warren(TCU commit transfered to Henderson). That seems to be the weakest link in our defense this year. If Marshall doesn't have a good game plan to help against Hale etc, then I can definitely see Longview pulling away in 2nd half. We also have a starting lb that has to sit out the 1st half. I do believe we have the ability to play all out and force some turnovers. That will be key in making it a tight game. No matter the final score, Marshall needs to show up and play hard. We have 2 #1 teams on our schedule. If we can't get up for those games then somethings wrong. Not many teams have 2 chances to make a statement against #1 ranked teams. Make them count.

So many transfers for Carthage. Even when you lose a stud wr, he ends up staying in Carthage by time fall rolls around. Must be nice. Carthage has turned into the Evangel of ET.

Seems like everytime Marshall has a better than avg Mav squad, Longview just happens to be having a loaded team as well. Why couldn't this year's Mavs play last year's Lobos? As long as we play hard and smart for 4 quarters, I think we can keep it competitive. It will go a long way in preparing us for the games that matter. We get to compare Longview and Carthage as well. For all those that love bringing up the topic.

Deflect..Potus has no say in that. You'll need to go through all the nations that signed the Antarctic Treaty in the 50s. You know, just before we started gearing up to go to the Moon. The Moon that "we don't have the technology to get to" in 2022. That 60s technology was to die for. Not to mention that landline phone that Nixon used to talk to the folks on Moon directly.. Stupid progress! You already know this though. Let's use one truth that most people aren't yet aware of to make another more obvious truth seem crazy as well.

Defense will be their strength as well. Their 1st team didn't run the ball but maybe 7 times the entire scrimmage. So obviously going to utilize more passing this year with the Rbs having graduated. Overall, I can see their D keeping them in games early until their offense can find an identity. Qb1 was inconsistent but has potential.

The presidential elections have always been rigged. They just play more to people's heart strings now for divisive purposes. It's a game to them these days. The President is just a public spokesman for the puppet masters. Very Easy to see that now with Weekend at Bidens playing in loop @ DC. I feel sorry for anyone who actually thinks he is in charge of anything. Trump is a puppet as well (as I've said many times). He's just a much better actor. Ask Vince McMahan.

Offense started a little slow but I was glad to see the running game get going later in live portion. That will be our bread and butter with the passing game improving week to week. For it being an entire new offense, I think we are running it with enough efficiency to compete and possibly win Friday. Secondary will need some working on if we want the score to remain respectable again in week 2. Longview now has a multi year starter at qb to better utilize the wrs. By time Texas High game rolls around, we may be far enough along to make a push for DC. This is a veteran Sr heavy team. I think we could see a rare better first year than 2nd with this staff.
