I would rotate the football playoff divisions every year. Instead of having Div 3 and 4 and 1 and 2 meeting in the semis every year, I would mix it up where 1 would play 3 and 2 would play 4 and so on... Transportation is good and dependable these days so travel shouldn't be a problem. Semis in the same stadium would be fun also.

Overall, solid 25. The big questions are: 1. How will the former 4A teams perform now that they're in a smaller division? i.e. Lorena, Fairfield and Caldwell etc... 2. Most important - Is there anyone out there who can knock off the Champs and their MVP QB/DB?

2020 schedule looks like a beast to me. Especially district with Caldwell and Lorena coming down from 4A. If this young team gets to the playoffs, I'm not sure if they'll be battle tested or beat up?

My East Tx games viewed are limited but my favorites are: 5. Yoe v Gilmer 1981 State Championship 4. Yoe v Tatum 2010 Quarter 3. Yoe v Newton 2012 Semi 2. Yoe v Daingerfield 2010 State Championship 1. Yoe v Newton 1981 Semi - 21 to 21. Yoe advanced on penetrations. Newton also had the best running back i'd ever seen. Anthony Byerly. I believe 2010 had the best combined talent in 2A (now 3A) history with Yoe, Daingerfield and Tatum

Looking forward to see Pottsboro play for the first time. It's good to see some new blood in the game; besides, what a great story for this community. If you beat GV, you've definitely earned it. They are a well oiled machine that does't make mistakes. I have no dog in this one, but I got GV by at least 2 TD's. Hope I'm wrong and it's a close game.

I agree. A trip to Arlington would be a great story for this town. In the past they have usually been 3rd tier to Rockdale , Cameron and sometime Lago. I hope they pull it off this year! Oh...and Pilot Point for knocking off Wall. I didn't see that coming.

If #21 is even or a step ahead, he will win most of the time. He is very allusive and strong. If you're going to stop him, you need to get him early before he picks a hole and explodes. The Jones kid is also no slouch. Sneaky fast.

Unless there is a sleeper out there that surprises everyone like Mineola did a few years ago, it’s gonna be hard to overthrow Grandview. I’m not saying they’re unbeatable but you’d better play mistake free ball if you’re going to take this team. I honestly thought Cameron’s defense was up to the task but soon found out this GV team exposed every mistake we made. I’ll be pulling for district 10 Troy next week but most likely it will be what 99 said earlier. GV v GW in finals. BTW-I need therapy after after yesterday. Biggest second half beat down in playoffs for Yoe since Brock in 2015. Or at least it felt that way.

Gill was a one man wrecking ball. Edgar would be taking notes from him last night. Good to see these kids stepping up big.

Just the opposite of last week. West defense set up to shut down Cameron’s passing attack and they ran ran the ball down there throat. Diboll defensive line is as stout as they get and would not let Yoe offense get much going on the ground, so what do do the Yoemen do? They throw the ball all over the field. This Cameron O is as balanced as I’ve seen in a while. Cameron defense has also become a force. Kudos to the coaching staff for putting together a great game plan last night and keeping the awesome Lumberjacks running backs out of the end zone. District 10 rematch in the near future? stay tuned.

Only major surprise here is I thought Rockdale would have played GV a little closer. Lago is tougher than most people give them credit. Their QB is fun to watch and the driving force of that team. The Yoe ran the ball at will against West. It looked like West committed to stoping the pass and Cameron offense in return put up over 250 yds rushing in the first half alone. When this offense is clicking, they are almost impossible to stop. They are for certain a dual threat and can be a DCs nightmare. I agree with 79, that it will come down to coaching and who can make the correct adjustments that will determine the outcome from this point forward. The talent is certainly there on both sides of the ball!

That Bell Game seemed like the turning point for Cameron's defense this year. Anyone can lose on any given night, however I see all the favorites winning this week. Although I'm hoping for a Rockdale win, I see GV winning by a touchdown. Yoe by 3 scores Whitney by 2 TD's Troy by 3 TD's
