  1. If your job depended on the quality of burger produced, would you hire people to work for you that specialize in chicken? Move to Kansas. Basketball is huge there.
  2. Just give it to Clint and keep rolling. Don't over think this thing.
  3. Bet there's less people involved than at Elysian Fields....
  4. Summer time is for lifting weights and 7 on 7. Get out of the AC.
  5. He's also right that Austin "is looking into this loophole" (implying that Austin is doing anything right with public education is hilarious.) They also changed that law last year when it pertains to Coaches. If you have Coached for 20 plus years, you can retire and come back as a Coach only. The District can basically get a Coach for whatever stipend they feel is fair. That's how it can be cheaper for an ISD. I will say this though. I have NEVER seen someone that dislikes public school and Coaches be convinced otherwise. There is enough false information out there to feed all their hate and spite. I would just ignore him.
  6. Excuse my ignorance, but are your ties to CH or Cana?
  7. Most of those facilities are tax payer approved bonds. The tax payers in a community can spend their money any way they choose. Also, Athletics accounts for less than 8% of MOST school districts in the state of Texas. Yet is services the largest group of kids when it comes to "groups". We are 46th in spending per-pupil in the U.S. Sure there is wasteful spending that needs to be addressed, but are we trying to get to last in spending our money on our kids? Do some research before you blindly listen to what a lot of the Politicians try to spew.
  8. Congrats to Ken Little. A great man and Coach. Our profression has never had a better representative.
  9. Both. And a community that doesn't bad mouth the Coaching staff at the dinner table in front of kids all the time. That has more of a negative effect on a program than any one single thing.
  10. Well, tell us who the whole town knows it is. No need for secrets.
  11. If a 16, 17, 18 year old kid is still sore 24 hrs after lifting then they are out of shape. If you lift 12 months a year, it is not a problem.
  12. You couldn't have missed the point more if you had ducked. The guy said that you shouldn't lift and only focus on Basketball for the entire season. That's what I was referring too. Nothing will change the way people like you think though.
