The last time Clarksville won against Daingerfield was in '91 when I was in school. And if i'm not mistaken, they shut us out 20-0.

Franks was referring to the playoff game rematch we had with Redwater. That was the final score. I, like Frank, expect a tough battle against Clarksville. Should be a good game.

Yep, I said whoever drew that last Open Date would be at a disadvantage if they were district champs. Wouldn't you know we get stuck with that open date. Before anyone starts saying "why don't we just give you the district title now", that's not what we are saying. Do I think have a shot to win it, yes. Do I think we are the only ones with a shot, absolutely not. Gonna be another knock down, drag out fight in our district this year.

I know they play Daingerfield in Week 1 (game 2 for us counting week 0).

To add to Bunz edition, 2 red lights in Lone Star. One at the intersection of 250 and one outside the plant at the intersection of 729. The city limits were moved beyond the red light at the plant a few years ago.

No, we wouldn't win multiple championships if we were moved up to 3a. Why? Because we just turned in an enrollment of 356 kids...almost 100 below the cutoff. So why are we in the discussion of being moved up?

Ok, i'm going to assume you just replied to my post and that wasn't aimed for me because I never said anything that you just wrote. I don't talk trash on here, win or lose. And I certainly have never said we lost because of bad officiating. We lost to a great football team. Again, I will say good luck to Melissa and I hope you guys win it all tomorrow night.

To add to that, 3 of the teams since '84 that knocked us out have made it to state but lost. That accounts for 22 times Daingerfield has made it to the playoffs since '83 (let's throw that year in there too). We won state 5 of those years, lost to the eventual state champ 5 times (should Melissa win) and lost to the eventual state finalist 3 times. So 13 out of the past 22 years, you can say the state champion/finalist has gone threw the Tigers in the playoffs. All that being said....good luck Melissa, I will be pulling for you guys tomorrow night!!!

We are proud of each and every one of you. For the seniors, we enjoyed watching you guys grow over the last several years from 7th grade to tonight. To the underclassmen, we look forward to watching you guys continue the legacy that is Daingerfield Tiger football. What else can I say but I love me some Blue Tigers!!!

All games are at Cowboys Stadium this year. Starts Thursday, December 15. At noon (class 3 a division 1 will be played the Friday before). 2A Division 1 will play at 8PM Thursday night.

Wrong on the interception comment, I don't know the exact #, but Alex threw interceptions in two other games as well before the RW game. I don't know that he has thrown any since the Redwater game, if he has its only been 1. That young man has stepped it up tremendously, and the scary part is that I don't think we have seen his very best yet...he seems to get more confident and better with every passing week.

We graduated alot but have our leading scorer back in Maria Leaks. That young lady is awesome. I know they have beat Mount Pleasant and Gladewater this year so far. We too have a new coach this year.

For what its worth though Kooldown, I hope they get their first playoff win this year. Let's go get 'em 8-2A.

Went 6-4 in '88 and 8-2 in '89 (best record in school history), but didn't make the playoffs either year. Finished 5-5 two other times in the 80's and finished the rest of the decade below .500. Smoaky also has them as 0-3 in playoff history in his Historical Section.

The Old Coach has them at 0-3 in the playoffs. Made the playoffs in '93, '04 and last year.

Good luck to Shead and Jones...transferring worked out pretty good for GJ Kinne, maybe it will work as good for these young men.
