  1. Randy McFarlin was coach back then. We were famous for being like a yo-yo under Coach McFarlin...'98 15-1, '99 6-5, '00 12-1, '01 6-5, '02 12-3 and in his last year he was 9-2. Great coach and even a better person.
  2. Don't think they thought it would be an easy win in '99. We came in the game young and the Raiders were good that year. Knew it was going to be a good, close game and it was. I expect another good one this year. Can't wait until Friday.
  3. 41-6 Dfield at the half. Rumor is we will play Winnsboro in Gladewater...not sure what day.
  4. Recently it hasn't been great for my Tigers there. But i'm old enough to remember we have won there lol You never know...Melissa still has to win as does New Boston for Winnsboro and Daingerfield to meet in round 1. Stranger things have happened. Good luck to y'all on Friday as well.
  5. Trust me, I would much rather play in Mount Pleasant because of the difference in stadium size...but if they are looking for a central location, it doesn't get more central than Pittsburg.
  6. BigRedFan, what about Pittsburg? I haven't heard where we may play you guys if we do play, but Pittsburg would be a good, central location.
  7. Kool, if New Boston, Daingerfield and Redwater win shouldn't they be tri-champs? I know Redwater would be first, New Boston second and Dfield 3rd as far as seeding goes based on head to head point differential, but I thought it would be tri-champs as far as district title goes.
  8. Yes, I think it would be a good game. I haven't watched the Raiders play but they seem to be doing very well this year. I am not saying we are that far down, we still have plenty of big time players and talent. I just think the Raiders (along with 7-2a) don't get the credit they deserve when compared to our district. Should be a fun first round of football in Region II.
  9. I will agree on the touchdown pass, it did happen like that. The "onside kick" I won't agree in though. Anyone that has watched Daingerfield football knows our kicking game has been awful forever (until this year). The way I remember it is the kid kicked a line drive about 2 foot off the ground and it bounced off a Redwater player back to us. That, to my knowledge, was not a planned play.
  10. It was in Winnsboro, I do remember that. It was an awesome game, a defensive struggle. If we meet this year, I would expect to see more fireworks from both teams.
  11. Help me remember BigRed, was 2001 the last time these 2 teams hooked up? I know its been a while. Seems like it was then. I remember Winnsboro was up 14-7 and we had the ball inside the 5. We tried a run up the gut and had the ball stripped inside the 3 yard line, Raiders recovered and held on for the 14-7 victory. If we do meet as possibly predicted, this game has the potential to be just as exciting.
  12. No suicide watch needed. We just got beat tonight. Good game Redwater, you guys came to play some ball tonight. There were a lot of folks leaving with 4:30 left in the game, but there were a lot that stayed until the end. Keep your head up Tigers, we still love and believe in you guys. Win or lose, this non trash talker will be there to support you guys until the clock hits 0:00. Go Big Blue Tigers!!!
  13. Daingerfield was reported to have 356 on a different thread.
  14. That's right. You guys had us down in 06 in Dfield like 27-7 and we had a late game surge but lost 34-27 I believe.
  15. Always good to win....but when was the last time the Tigers were perfect on PAT's? Lol Great job Charlie!!!
  16. Also had 30 yards worth of penalties go against Dfield on Hooks first scoring drive, also had the drive kept alive when Dfield roughed the Hooks punter, also recovered a fumble by Dfield on an interception that Dfield fumbled on the Hooks 5 yard line right before they scored....also played a great game, as did Daingerfield. The Tigers just came out on top. Hooks is going to be a force again really soon. Good luck to you guys the rest of the year, I can see a playoff spot in your future if you play like you did tonight.
  17. Daingerfield's offense had 5 possessions all night. They scored on 4 of them and turned the ball over on downs deep in Hooks territory on the other drive. Hooks did a good job of controlling the clock tonight. Good luck the rest of the way to Hooks....Tigers, let's keep the wins coming.
  18. Just wait until you see the special teams play we've been practicing all week...our punt team is gonna shock everyone!!!
  19. I'm on the other side, also on the 45...it was a good call. The ball was behind the line of scrimmage.
  20. Because you only have 3 home games this year. Who are the other 2 against? Henderson and Carthage maybe (cant remember).
  21. Game ended at 50-0. There were 7 minutes left in the 1st quarter and it was 21-0, no special teams or defensive touchdowns either. Even if they could score 100, I don't think they would.
