  1. After today's games...... Troy Smith: 158 of 237 for 67.75% 2005 yards 22 TDs 3 INTs Colt McCoy: 170 of 246 for 67.74% 2051 yards 27 TDs 4 INTs
  2. The replay showed there was absolutely no hold on the play. Sooners got robbed of a TD on an incredible run. Fran should've played to win on 4th and goal, but chose the field goal instead
  3. Not likely since the Fiesta gets second choice for an at-large team this year, and ND (if eligible) would be snapped up first.
  4. The horns will run all over Okie-lite
  5. I'm just waiting to see what the NCAA is going to do to OU. Sounds like Bomar & Quinn are getting theirs.
  6. I never quoted Stoops on anything. I am simply stating the possibilty of two teams from the same division rematching in a conf. championship game under a reseeding scenario. How does that make me immature? Why don't you chill a little. There's no need to make disparaging remarks just because I have an opinion you don't like or agree with.
  7. I agree that all conferences should have a champ. game or none should. Otherwise, I don't have a problem with a champ. game. If you get beat by an inferior (record wise) conference opponent, you don't deserve a Nat. title shot anyway. OU should have never played in that '03 game.......oh yeah I forgot, they didn't. Tell me this Smoak's, why is Stoops against a playoff system if he's so interested in fairness?
  8. CSmoak, Yes it COULD. I understand the post and it is obvious that Stoops doesn't like the fact that an inferior North team gets to play in the champ. game and not his Sooners. He needs to quit whining and face the fact that as it now stands the loser of the RRS is not going to play for the conference title.
  9. rating, compl %, yds, rush yds/td, td/int Brady Quinn 145.8 63.7 2233 -7/2 21/4 Colt McCoy 166.6 67.7 1705 174/1 24/4 It looks like Colt's a little more deserving of that trip to NY than Quinn
  10. Because it might possibly give OU a second chance to beat UT in a conf. champ game......
  11. It's part of a vast, global right-wing conspiracy :coocoo: I think Leach has been smoking a little too much west texas tumbleweed lately.
  12. Of course Stoops wants to throw out the current Big12 format. With AD hitting the road and Texas racking up all the recruits, Stoops can see the writing on the wall. Texas may be at the start of a long win streak vs. the Sooners, which means no conf. championships or NC's for OU. Personally, I think either all of the BCS conferences should have a championship game or none should. Stoops is also on record as NOT favoring a playoff system to replace the current BCS system. During this interview, his reasoning really didn't make a lot of sense.
  13. SI's gene menez made a vague hint last week that he might start considering mccoy or a couple other up-&-coming QBs for the latter end of his Top-10 heisman candidates list in coming weeks. and indeed, after that showing against tech, colt pulls in at #9. check it out... colt mccoy wow! i'd find it almost incredulous, but honestly, when you look at what he's done, i'd be hard-pressed to think there's any way he could NOT be on there.
  14. Don't forget how Reggie McNeal was going to be a better qb than Vince!
  15. Publicist? Who are you talking about? If you're referring to Kim, she happens to be his mother and has every right to post about her son. And, believe it or not, there happen to be a few of us on here who like to here how he's doing ( even if he is an Aggie now). So my advice to you if you don't like the topic of this thread.....don't read it, or better yet go away.
  16. How about "the Apple Dumpling Gang" as a new name for the Aggy defense....
  17. Nolan was caught with sandpaper, as has Clemens. Sorry I don't have the date
  18. Whatever the line is, bet the farm Texas will cover
  19. Talk about blowing something out of proportion. All of you baseball purists should know by now that this kind of thing is common practice. Pitchers have been doctoring the ball for decades, and still do. I don't want to overgeneralize and say they all do it, but it is a well known fact that most of them do. Nolan Ryan has been caught doing it, and so has Roger Clemens. That is why LaRussa did not make a big deal about it at the time. Because he knows his pitchers do it too. And let's not even get started about position players......they are either corking bats or injecting themselves with something. If I was a pitcher, I would probably be doing something to even the odds a little.
  20. Oh I think there's plenty of justification for the criticism the Yankees are getting. And of course you are entitled to your opinion, as is everyone else on this board. Where I have a problem is that whenever someone criticizes the Yankees, you go on a tirade about the Rangers, Tom Hicks or some other unrelated "random" subject. And my comment about your article was also just my opinion. I did not say it was poorly written or lacked any literary merit. I simply stated that I doubt few who read the TMT care to read about the Yankees. I could be wrong....perhaps millions of East Texans were riveted by your article. Who knows?
