  1. Yawn...How can people come on here and gripe about officiating at the college level when the NBA officials have admitted to making calls go a certain way. I love basketball but I just don't enjoy it anymore at any level other than high school.
  2. Would Drew Henson count as a bust? What about David Carr?
  3. Glad I was at work to miss that one...Sorry Matt, maybe next time buddy.
  4. Basketball is still going? I thought it ended during March...Oh wait, real basketball ended with the Tourney. I forgot that the fake stuff kept doing on year round...
  5. Oh all the players in all the world...Jorge Cantu??? Really? He's a Marlin so he's probably on the market.
  6. I doubt you could get all that much for Lance. Roy yes. Big Puma is just too big of an injury risk unless it was a team that was in big need of a DH or spot firstbaseman. But look at the Astros historically. They tend to go after veteran players and through in the long careers of Biggio and Bags and they could all be playing on the Senior circuit right now. I think the overhaul needs to start with the front office and Houston needs to find someone who has an eye for discovering young talent that is close to league-ready. My beard is starting to itch...come on 'Stros!
  7. Make that 0-7. I thought about not shaving until the 'Stros won a game, but I don't want to have a huge bushy beard on my deathbed...
  8. Gotta go with LT. I heard Westbrook was changing his name to Bryant Disabled, any truth to this???* To be honest though, you wouldn't take either one if I could help it. *That was a really bad joke.
  9. Coaches are responsible for making sure their team has coverage. If you have an event that you want in the paper, then get in contact with the paper. We call in all out results and finals. I'm sorry but schools like Bullard and Chapel Hill aren't going to get the coverage that Lee and JT get unless they are dominating people at the lower levels. That's just the nature of the business. You cater to your bigger audience. Sorry.
  10. I monitored some girls yesterday at the District meet...Took over 5 hours to play 18 holes...ouch...
  11. Well, let's send a guy who can't keep clean in Pittsburgh to New York, the ulitimate vice stop! Good luck Jets I hope it's worth the headache...
  12. When is Cincy going to go through with the mascot change? Instead of Bengals they need to call themselves the Inmates and change from tiger stripes to orange jumpsuits. It wouldn't be hard. Just take all the stripes of and you have it taken care of. They might be the worst organization in sports.
  13. And you always hear people complain about player loyalty? What about team loyalty? If McNabb had left to go play somewhere else as a Free Agent, people would be howling right now.

  15. I don't know. All the teams that need safety help in front of the Boys have more pressing needs then S. I think Earl could be a steal at 27. There are many teams that need O-Line help and this is the draft to do it. I think ET will be there.
  16. Here is the deal with Dez Bryant. He won't fall all the way to 27, but he is going to fall farther than some of the mock drafts are saying. Remember Randy Moss???? He could fall to around picks 16 - 20 but nothing past that. In order for the Boys to get him, he will need to fall to that range and they would have to work a deal to pick him up. Plus with the crack down on player behavior, teams might be cautious of a player with a past. Except Jerry that is. Jerry gives everyone a 10th chance... I still think the boys are fine at WR. With the release of Flozell, the Boys need to draft a Pro-Bowl caliber LT and this draft is full of good lookin' OLineman. Protect your QB first, then buy him some weapons. With the 27th Pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select... Earl Thomas, S, Texas That's my prediction
  17. I've noticed that too...I've also noticed that a lot of these names are kids who have played in the last 5-10 years. People just can't think back that far.
  18. Let's put flags on their hips and flowers in their hair. Let us also have them wear dresses and hold hands and sing songs. Are you kidding me? Do they now realize how much safer this game is compared to years past? I guess you could be arrested for playing tackle football in your backyard now too.
  19. Coach Little, You are one of my heroes. I've been praying for you non-stop. May God continue to bless you, Brad, and Alyssa. I've always considered you guys family. Keep getting better. B.C. a.k.a. Little Schemer
  20. Father of suspended Small: Ohio State trying to ruin son's career COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State receiver and punt returner Ray Small has been suspended in what his father describes as heavy-handed and unfair treatment on the part of coaches. Ray Small has been benched for Ohio State's games against Northwestern and Illinois for supposedly missing a class. Ken Small said his son, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound junior, will be out for games against Northwestern and Illinois for missing a class, a charge he said his son denies. An athletic department spokesman said the suspension is for an unspecified violation of team rules. Small's father said in interviews published Thursday that he thinks Ohio State is intentionally trying to ruin his son's career. "We see it as a family that they are intentionally blowing his whole career," Ken Small said Wednesday night, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "Whatever it is, it's personal." Small left Cleveland and moved to the Columbus suburbs to support his son this season, according to the newspaper. He said the school told his son he might be allowed to return for the Michigan game at Ohio Stadium on Nov. 22. "As of today, I don't think they'll ever put him back on the field," Ken Small said, according to the Plain Dealer. "I'm pretty sure that they're saying 'get out' in a polite way." Ray Small was the Buckeyes' leading receiver through the first three games of the season and returned a punt for a touchdown. Since then he has seen less playing time and has caught only four passes in the past six weeks. Information from The Associated Press was used in th
