Arp boys beat West Rusk in Triple OT 98-91

I believe Arp is only losing 2 starters on offense and 3 on defense. They should be a lot better this next year.

Yes. If Winona wins it does not matter what Arp does but they aren't gonna win so It's up to Arp to get it done against Troup.

Winona will close composure in 2nd quarter and Quitman will run away with it at that point.

Congrats to Harmony. Good program and good bunch of kids. Running back is very good and sees the field well. Don't know if penalty bug gets y'all every week but keep that cleaned up and y'all will make a run.

Good adjustments by Winona at halftime. Arp can't wait until the 4th quarter to find something that works. Very poor sportsmanship on both sides of the ball. Congrats to Winona on the win

This is going to be a fun district to be in this year. I bleed Arp maroon and Arp will be the only team I have an opinion on at this point. Arp is going to be a lot better on both sides of the ball this year. Lot of the boys have matured and there will be some good kids in key positions.We should go 2-1 in preseason with us coming up a little short in a battle with WR bad as I hate to say it. As far as district I will hold my comments until after the 2nd preseason game. I think then we will all have a good idea on how things will possibly play out

I will support any D9 team that faces Newton but all these statements are on point. West Rusk will put some points on the board but it wont be near enough to make it close. Newton could have put 80 on us easy last night and I was really afraid that was going to happen when the starters were still playing deep in the 3rd quarter. after seeing Newton last night in person I truly feel there is not a 3a team that can go toe to toe with them for 4 quarters.

Newton is the real deal. Twice the team they were last year. I take my crow anyway you serve it up.

I've always said etsn has the worst sports reporting in East Texas and that article proves my point. They are right though, #6 is the only one Newton needs to worry about. The other 10 should be playing JV.

As long as my Arp boys play to the best of there ability and really make a fight out of it I will not be upset, but if I was a Newton backer anything less than a 60-0 shut out I would be looking for a rock to crawl under.

As I recall Newton was doing the same thing to teams last year until they played Arp.

The scores will be a lot closer and lower than that.

They are a good team but I think Arp is going to come out and lay the wood on them a couple of times and give them a reality check. Then we will see if they can over come.
