I don’t see Troy controlling the los. They definitely have a chance if they could, but it’s just not going to happen. GV is physical and big up front. On another note, GV qb will have plenty of time to find an open receiver. Again GV controlling the los will keep our backs busy throughout the game. GV should be up by 14 or 21 after the first half.

Play some defense. I don’t even care which team! Dig in and impose some suffering on the offense. You will get results.

I don’t put a lot of stock in the polls. I do put a lot of stock in playing defense for 4 quarters. I’m not sure a lot of defense has been played in D-10.

This game will be very beneficial for both teams. Won’t even waste my time with a prediction. Both teams have my respect and both teams always play at a higher level. Safe travels. Stay healthy.

I talk to the coaches from time to time and my high school friend’s kid plays for GV. I don’t have any inside information at all. I do believe these kids will step up just as they did last year. There are some great leaders on this team.

Hillsboro is a lot better. They’ll do well this year. QB can do it all. Number 88 DE is really good. Don’t sleep on Hillsboro, they’ll create some upsets this year no doubt.

I honestly don’t know the details. All I know is, they beat some good teams with 3 or 4 players going both ways. They didn’t just hang with these big schools, GV beat them. The big schools obviously had fresh legs also. I never said they rotated 30 players. I said these big schools had 30 players on their teams and GV had only 10 or 12. I don’t know how many kids played from the other schools, but it’s not likely they played both sides of the ball like GV. It is what it is. I’m not saying GV could line up and beat any of these elite schools during a preseason matchup, but I wouldn’t mind seeing them try.

GV beat Waco, 7a Arkansas team, Fort Worth Calvary, Highland Park, John Paul II Plano, lost to Southlake Carroll by a score in the championship. Opponents had approximately 30 kids per team. GV had around 10 or 12.

Gonna be a good one! I’m sure you guys can’t wait to get a little revenge. I’m curious to see how much better Malakoff will be after last year. That group of kids are really something special. Yall’s skilled players are exceptional athletes. It’s gonna be a tough one for Grandview especially in Malakoff. Driskell will have those kids ready no doubt.
