  1. I can't find their passing stats but when you see them throw it, you'll understand. Lol
  2. Just updated: NFHSnetwork.com has added Newton vs. Boling Friday 7:30pm Canadian vs. Gunter Friday 7pm Burton vs. Teneha Thursday 7pm San Augustine vs. Refugio Thursday 7pm Kemp vs. Brock Thursday 7pm
  3. It is PG's to lose. They are the best team in 4AD2 this season.
  4. Teneha is good. Cannot wait to watch them live next week.
  5. A few things we know about this game: Stop Jackson and you stop Boling. They cannot throw the ball. Hit Jackson hard and he seems to get "tired" more quickly Lexington moved the ball on Boling's defense all night but never took control of the game because they started shying away from hitting Jackson and let him run wild. Newton is not afraid of contact and will hit hard all night Newton can move the football against good defenses, much less Boling Newton will win this game by 20+
  6. I believe that this PG team is very special. The last time I saw this kind of "special" was the 2014 GIlmer team. Gilmer's offense was much more explosive, but PGs defense is better in my opinion. If PG plays to their potential, they will win this game by two scores. Special teams play for PG will need to be on point in order to control momentum, Graham has exceptional execution on their return game.

  11. I knew I should have started with 1A. That makes a lot of sense, because I was wondering why there were not enough teams to fill the districts.

  14. I sure hope y'all can make it to the party. I will buy you a coke in a souvenir cowboys cup after the game to help ease your pain.
  15. One TD called back because they couldn't line up correctly 14 weeks into the season (wide open receiver) . And another TD missed because the QB decided that throwing into double coverage was a better choice than that guy standing in the middle of the endzone all by himself. Not to mention that your offense is horrible. You guys get outside of your bubble, these teams are not in awe of the wos mystique and will expose your team for who they are this year instead of playing them like the 2015 or 2016 team. This version of wos is about 60% as good as those teams and those teams were not 40% better than any of the teams remaining. PG or Graham will donkey stomp wos this year.
  16. I watched the Salado game and your "chain gang" defense couldn't even cover the jr high routes that Salado ran. You better hope that PG gets knocked out this week or that Wimberly goes ahead and saves your dignity because if y'all end up against PG, you will be embarassed in front of 20K people and a regional TV audience.
  17. Sure was a LOT of wos folks talking about ifs after the 2014 SC game. If the ref hadn't called the block in the back on the FG return, if their RB hadn't fumbled on their own GL. So wos folks know all about ifs and those were actual mistakes by their players and not an accident that could happen to anyone on any play.
  18. Re-watching the 2014 Waskom vs. Newton title game on YouTube. Man that was a GOOOOOOD football game!
  19. I thought Longview turned in 2135
  20. I have watched games for each of these teams in the last few weeks and this will be as hard of a hitting game as there is in Texas this weekend. Both teams like to bang. They both are going into the contest with a great deal of confidence and both believe with all their heart they are the tougher of the two. The speech from the Rocky movie comes to mind: It ain't about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep movin forward. I will say that the team that wins this game will be the team that can take the most hits and keep moving forward, not get discouraged and fight through adversity. I personally will pick Teague to win this game. I believe that this is their year to win it. Good luck to both teams and I pray that both teams come out of this game injury free.
  21. If you go back and read everything I said, without the premise that I am against you, you will see that you were incorrect in your assumption that I was being unpleasant toward you. Now, what is truly ironic is that your responses have been a demonstration of exactly what me and many others on Smoaky have been saying about the Gunter posters. So you in fact made yourself the subject of the posts about the Gunter fans behavior, that you were so adament you do not engage in. In simple terms: you have proven everything I said correct, through your responses. As far as the last post, you "called me out" for what you perceived to be an insult at you after you posted some nonsense about painting you with a soft brush or something. So no, my last post was not pleasant toward you. Up until then, I would say that any reasonable person who read what I said and not take it as me insulting you. Now, this should all be water under the bridge, because I am certain that the other members of Smoaky had rather not read a back and forth between us vs. discussing the football game. I am sure that in real life you are an awesome person to be around and not nearly as sensitive as you seem to be on here.
  22. I would invite any other posters on here to provide feedback as to whether or not they took anything I said as an insult toward this gentleman. As for you pax, I have grossly miscalculated you. You are obviously not astute enough to understand that I was in no way insulting you and with each additional post, you continue to perpetuate confirmation by all that you are indeed the type of person that my posts are warning you to guard against. You have been argumentative, defensive and revealed yourself as a dillettante. As for quoting Proverbs at you as an insult, you pretty much earned that one all on your own. (See pack of dogs story). I do believe that Greezychef has an ice pop for you, you should enjoy it greatly. A fine dessert for you after your feast of pettiness and desertion of intellect.
