He has had a huge year. Somewhere close to 30 tds. I still think you guys have a dang good chance to collect some rings in December. Keep rolling.

I am not trying to write off losses, but offensively we are not the same team we were. We struggled early in the season with turnovers, but you kinda expect that with a wide open offense and a new qb. He has always had the talent and has now for 3 straight games in a row put it together. I know a few district 8 folks were not overly impressed with LE offense but we held them to 99 total yards and our starters were out completely with 7 minutes in the game. Van doesn’t have the team speed of Gilmer, but we do have some cats that can flat out run on offense and defense.

Pottsboro has a good team, but Koff is on a different level. That d-line might not give the qb a lot of time to pass.

Here is what I know. Caddo doesn’t have a rb even close to what we have seen. Their receivers are good, but not any faster or more athletic than we have seen. They are not bigger than teams. What does scare me, is the QB. He can spin it and can run. He runs more frequently than anyone we have seen. The kid from Malakoff is better in my opinion, but doesn’t run as often. Caddo has also not seen a player like Thomas from Van. If the game isn’t a full fledge shootout I like Van to win, but we have to keep them under 35 imo.

Was a great place to play a game. Don’t think we have ever played in Marshall.

That’s only half the story. We had 5 drives inside their 25 which resulted in no points and we also had 3 turnovers. We did give up some big plays on the run and they returned a KO for a touchdown as well.

Van played with 3 starters missing the first time one being the QB. He is back as are the others. Since the last game LE has had some pretty good players transfer and lost their star running back. Van won round 1 by 21 and it seems that we are at full strength and they are not, but hey anything can happen.

That very well maybe true, but I also think Gilmer CH and Mabank don’t have the same defensive schemes as heritage and Van. Either way, this should be a good game and will certainly impact playoff seeding.

I am sure they would and it wouldn’t be an unreasonable argument. Let’s see how you do against Lindale. I am just basing my opinion on having seen Lindale and having played other high powered offenses. Center was averaging 51.5 pts per game and Van gave up 14 against the defense. The other points were scored on the offense literally.

Tap the breaks on Hendo having the best defense. I agree that Henderson has a good defense, but Van locked Lindale down. Jenkins had a whopping 60 yards on 20 carries. They scored a total of 14 points that were outside of 30 yard drives.

Having seen both LE and Pitt, I don’t think Pitt can get past LE. That only leaves SH and NL

So let me see if I have this right. The game was tied at half time. Van had turned the ball over twice in your red zone and because of a few alleged bad calls in the first half, your boys quit in the second?? You either didn’t watch the same game I did or you guys needs some intestinal fortitude. It was tied. I repeat tied at half.

Malakoff looks good right now. Van is struggling to create space on offense and not getting enough pressure on defense. Pretty impressed with Peace.

The number of returners is kind of deceiving. We have about 6 that started the year last year as starters but close to 10 that played a lot by the end of the year due to year ending injuries.

Totally agree. From a pure probability point it is more likely they don’t even score 28 let alone win by 28.

Thanks. Had no idea. I think we issued close to 700 tickets to the visitors last night, but they obviously didn’t use them all.

We got an email yesterday saying only participants parents can attend. Even if the stadium isn’t huge I can’t fathom that the visitor side only holds about 500 people since it appears we will only get 250 or so tickets. I am not even sure if bands are traveling to games. Palestine didn’t travel.
