Could be from the area and wants to get closer to home, could want to work in a one-school ISD, lots of reasons a 6A coach would want to take a 4A job

Is the job an AD/HC position?  If so that an incentive to interview if you’re at a district with an AD that you may not get along with your coaching philosophy.  On the other hand it maybe an AD in place that you have past history or a friendship.
Navasota should be on their way back to content.   Navasota’s under classes has some talent coming up.
There should be an extensive list of candidates

  2. On the spitting issue.  Once the official on the sideline learned of the incident, he should have went over to the head official and had a conversation like they do on intentional grounding calls.  I’m pretty sure the head official could have called up for a booth review.
Number 11 should have been ejected and a fifteen yard mark off should have happened.
Spitting on someone intentionally is worst than targeting and taking a swing at someone.

That was a terrible call ... he clearly caught the ball and turned upfield ... lost it when he went down ...

I totally agree.  That was a catch and the young man reached out toward the down marker.   Not sure why that play didn’t stand as called on the field.
Congrats to the Tigers on a great defensive plan.   I would have never thought no team could have held the Lions to just 7 points.

    Great game.

Don't get me wrong, this may be one of the most well-attended games throughout all of the 3A DI playoffs.  Cameron/Rockdale was simply a once in a lifetime type of occurrence. The place literally ran out of food before the game even kicked off.  The stadium was pretty much at capacity.  I hope this game has a similar feel as it should be a classic.

That location was a nightmare back when Cameron/Rockdale game was played.
It was after halftime before some folks got into the stadium.  The parking was terrible.
There was folks parking on the side of the road and walking a couple of miles Georgetown underestimated the crowd.
Hopefully they learned from that debacle.
Looking back to see how many playoff games they have hosted lately.  Let’s say there are far and few.
Once again District opponents meet in the regional finals.  My advice is to get there early.  It’s better to wait in your seat inside the stadium instead inside your car.
This game will be a slobber knocker.
Football is alive and well in District 11.
    Congrats to both programs.

Already was agreed to play there between the 4 teams... they did it to make sure a good venue would be available.

It’s hard to believe LRA would agree to Tomball.   This agreement sounds more like it was expected to be a Franklin/Dibol-Shepard/Dibol matchups.   LRA must of been the odd man out on the Tomball venue.
Midway’s field and I believe there was just one game scheduled at WISD this upcoming weekend.

  6. Franklin will dominate LRA.   LRA had issues stopping Dibol’s running game. It’s been a great season for the Bumblebees.

Lorena is getting back to their state championship stride of a few years ago.
This game with Columbus will be one of the best games to date in 3a.
It just looks like Lorena/Franklin are destine for a classic rematch.

Nope you are wrong sorry. Westwood qb might be good but it takes a whole team. Lorena has d1 talent that has already committed. The best athlete on the field belongs to Lorena.

Westwood will see the talent of Lorena up front and personal come Friday night.
The Leopards are getting healthy and it’s starting to show in their play the last few weeks.

  8. LRA won the Lineman Challenge up in Abilene this year while Hitchcock was winning the 7 on 7.  They have an excellent QB.  He been a starter the last 3 years.  Very tough runner with some speed and a decent passer.  An above average receiver corps.  They have a couple of good running backs.
LRA has an above average defense.
Front seven is where they excel.
Against Hitchcock in the secondary they had their better athletes going both ways.   Playoff time I wouldn’t expect anything different.
    They appear very well coached.
LRA was third in a very tough district 11.

You did...although Hitchcock never seemed the same once McDaniel got hurt vs Columbus, losing your best two-way player at that level is tough, especially when you have a deficiency at other spots....I dont know if it rained during the game but that wouldn't have helped them either..

It rained continuously during the night.
LRA had to contend with the weather also.  This time of year all teams have injuries of some kind.
The talent that Hitchcock has there is no excuse to go out in the bi-district round.
I feel like Hitchcock was overlooking LRA.
Goes back to the depth of District 11.
I predict District 11 will go 3-0 in the Area round.

  10. This No knee pads is getting out of hand.  The NCAA has to get this under control.
I have seen too many skilled position players with basically shorts on with thigh pads the size of saucers.
There is a rule on the books.  It needs to be enforced on the field.
