  1. This Franklin Lions team in my opinion is one of the best that the Lions have ever assembled. Besides that dominate running game, the Lions can spread you out and pass the ball around if necessary. The Lions also have a defense that is very discipline and can tackle with the best of them.
  2. Franklin is on a mission. This game will be like all other games that the Lions have played. Lions by 21+
  3. Lorena defeats Diboll by 21. Lorena wins the semi-final game by 21.
  4. My final assessment of the Yoemen. Graded out. Offense (1) QB C- (2) Offensive line C (3) Running back B- (4) Receiving Group B (5) Offensive Coordinator C Defense: (1) Line D (2) Middle Linebackers B (3) Outside Linebackers C (4) Secondary D- ( It improved with the addition of #4 & 5 late in the season) (5) Defensive Coordinator D Special Teams: Overall B Head Coaching: C For the life of me I just don’t understand why if you don’t see things working out for you and your team....make a damn change. (1) The defense could of been night and day different if you as the HC would of played 2-3 guys both ways all season. (2) At least in one game let the next man up (QB) an opportunity to see what he can bring to the team. (3) Let freshmen play on the varsity if the talent is there. Rhoades will have a better team in 2022. He’ll get his imprint on this team and there will be improvements.
  5. Where are you finding your stats of past games?
  6. The Brahmas are more ground it out oriented. What percentage would you say? Still trying to run their offense as if Brooks is still back there? Defensively are they normally a 3, 4 or even a 5 man front? Run man on the backside. Anyone player standout? Should be an interesting bi district game.
  7. 09 Who stands out offensively for the Brahmas? I’m sure the Brahmas will isolate their better receivers on our linebackers. The Bees were very successful in that alignment in the 4th quarter. Defensively I’m sure they will bring pressure on our front five. Give your assessment for Thursday night.
  8. You could see this coming a couple years ago. The previous staff got stagnant. Kids were getting soft mentally and physically. Rhoades will get them back in the weight room and you will start seeing his imprint on the program.
  9. Yoe definitely not a top 25 team. Three of the four teams in the district will be one and done. Lorena will be the lone survivor. Defense has been Yoe’s Achilles heal all season. Not surprised with McGregor’s totals.
  10. 460’s wouldn’t that number be a borderline number for 4a d2?
  11. What numbers did Yoe turn in for the 2022 realignment? I didn’t see them listed on Dave Campbell.
  12. Personnel for the Yoemen are not utilized to their full potential. When your best player on offense is just standing in the same place play after play, that is just not getting it done. Defense is a lost cause. You cannot continuously keep repeating the same mistakes over and over each week. It’s insanity.
  13. Playing a Biles team over in Lorena, you’re already behind the 8 ball. If for some good fortune the Yoemen can keep it close in the 1st half. That would mean getting some good breaks in the secondary. The second half could get interesting. The Yoemen could be seeing a game like the Diboll matchup a few years ago. Nobody gave the Yoemen much of a chance in that game. That’s why the game is played on the field not on a forum.
  14. The Jim Neds, the Grandviews, the Halletsvilles last year had 4 plus kids going both ways. Last years 3a State Champion Jim Ned had 5 kids playing both sides of the ball. 2 platooning is great if you have the talent.
  15. Secondary for Yoe out of position all night. No adjustments were made all night. You cannot allow a player continue to play who gave up the number of TDs and plays as one did last night and expect to win. Yoe was out coached in the 4th quarter.
  16. Academy will be heavy on the pass. Pass defense has been inconsistent. Not sure sometimes what that secondary is thinking. Practicing against the Yoemen’s wide outs daily they should be figuring it out by now. Putting Hemphill out on an opponent’s #1 receiver definitely helps. In the overall picture this team is getting better each week.
  17. Yoe had 268 yards rushing. Bynaum had 192 of those yards. 26 first downs. 130 yards passing. 60 points the most scored by a Yoe team in the history of this rivalry. Rhoades is starting to put his stamp on this Yoe team.
  18. Kerr is a senior, out with a back injury. His future football career maybe in jeopardy. Hrbacek is at Sam Houston.
  19. Congrats to Cameron Yoe’s Ryan Muniz. Hopefully that opening district game win is one of many more to come. The 4 game predistrict schedule was one of the toughest in the state. The Yoemen has been working their way through injuries and illnesses and hopefully they’ll be back to full strength soon. Keep up the hard work Ryan.
  20. Yoes big issues is the inconsistency in the secondary. That could be easily solved by playing a few folks both ways. Offensively the QB position. The QB cannot get the ball down field. All of the QB yards are after the catch. 95% of the QB passes completed were within couple yards of the line of scrimmage. That’s not going to get it done.
  21. 09 What was your thought process in dropping the Yoemen in your poll. Lake Belton’s HC reported that they had over 250 kids out for football. I believe the Yoemen had less then 100 out. Seeing what Bellville did to Rockdale even with a running clock in the 2nd half. The Yoemen in the 2nd half was within 1 score and an on side kick of giving the Brahmas a scare. The Yoemen has had maybe one of the toughest predistrict schedule in 3a. Their opponents are 15-1.
  22. The penalty stats that were reported to the Temple Telegram was: Franklin 9/ 75yds. Cameron 2/10yds.
  23. The Yoemen are using the Temple chapter. From where I was seated there were a few illegal motion, offside calls, block in the back(there were a couple of these missed) a face mask call and a late hit on the QB these were all legitimate fouls on the Lions. The Lions skill position guys are the real deal. Keep them healthy and the Lions are going to be a tough out.
  24. 09 give me something solid so I can be optimistic about the Yoemen against Lake Belton. I was really thinking that the Yoemen could be turning the corner after the Bellville game. This week was a set back offensively and once again in the secondary on the defensive side.
