Wow. How do you go from beating someone just a couple of weeks ago to losing to them today? This is unreal. I didn't see this coming because I saw CH play a few weeks ago, and I didn't think they were a playoff caliber team. Now they're the best team in 9-4A. This is crazy. They'll roll LCM next week.

I was shocked by this score when I saw it a few minutes ago. I truly thought Carthage would roll to another title. I didn't see this upset coming.

I was going to ask someone to post scoring plays. This game was supposed to be on NFHS, so I stayed home to watch. But I can't find it. Can't find it on the radio either. Very frustrating.

Gilmer might put up 70 tonight. I think Henderson forgot how to tackle between last week and tonight.

I was at this game. I think when Upchurch got hurt early in the 3rd, it really changed the offense. Not so much what they did. But he had a great first half and took some of the defense off Adams. Defensivlely, there were 2 plays that made the difference. The first was that fourth down conversion when they lined up to punt then hurried to the line and threw a pass for a first down really hurt. Then the 13-yard run on the draw play on 4th and 12 about midway through the fourth. That play was all Bland because he should've been stopped for a short gain. Each time, those plays got Hawkins on their heels, and Garrison was able to take advantage with scores. Overall, I thought it was a pretty good game. Garrison played about as perfectly as they could (no turnovers, just a couple of penalties). Hawkins played well too with only 1 TO and just a few penalties.

I really didn't think people considered Texarkana to be in East Texas since none of the ET papers or media covers them. Don't see them in Longview or Tyler papers and not on any ET news station. I thought they were North and not East. But that was just me. Yes, PP is in East Texas. Guess I'll be rooting for 1 more ET team to win tomorrow. And it's PG. So maybe they can bring one back to East Texas or North Texas, whichever you prefer to call them.

Tough game. Gunter is a pretty good team. That said, great season PP.

I thought the PP guy would've been the Defensive MVP. He had 2 INTs and a pick-6. I guess you have to win though to win awards, which ####.

I simply said they weren't covered by East Texas' 2 papers (Tyler and Longview). Plus, they're in far North Texas. I guess you could call it East, but it's more northern than eastern and they're not covered in East Texas' newspapers.

Since Week 2 for me. Saw PG, and they ran the ball really well. No penalties, no turnovers. Very fundamental.

PG is not really East Texas though (at least they're never in the Longview or Tyler papers). It's more North Texas. Will absolutely not be rooting for that other ET team, the one that wears red.

That #1 for PP is playing a great game. He's recovered 2 fumbles, picked off 2 passes and has scored a TD.

Very true. Give me a fundamental team any day over an athletic, non fundamental team. That's why PG is always so successful.

Not necessarily. They were stopped in the first half with those INTs. Never know. Might've thrown another 1 or 2.

Why the decision to go for it inside your own 40 twice in a row. It's almost like they're trying to give the game away. I don't understand those decisions. Gunter was given short fields and scored both times. Why not punt and make Gunter go the length.

All they're doing is running the ball. It's not that impressive. Not like Mahomes type impressive.

Even a FG would work here. But a TD would be nice. Would make it probably 22-21 going into the half.

Didn't realize that was the case anymore. Thought you could. I remember when some Cowboys WR returned an Eagles onside for a TD. I think it was Williams.

Told me wife he should've just slid down because it was going to be trouble. But turned into a pick-6. I love Craig Way, but that's not the best play of the championships thus far. It was a pick-6. Calm down CW. It is what PP needed I think. They finally got the stop they needed.

Nevermind. Gunter converted. Gotta get a stop at some point though.
