  1. That makes sense. I noticed some people don’t have box scores listed either, so it must not account for that. If a team is 50-0 in 1st half and game ends up 50-28 it would calculate the same as a 50-28 regular game.
  2. Ok that’s what I thought you might be going off of. Not that rankings matter, but wonder why Dave Campbell computer ranking is different. West Rusk at 7 and Edgewood and GS at 21 and 27 in 3A d2. Maybe WR vs GS will shed some light this week. If WR is in the same league as GS 3A region 2 is solid with Bells, Holliday, and Gunter. Not trying to highjack your 2A thread just thought it was an interesting overlap. Good luck this year
  3. Cooper sounds like they have a good team. I really don’t know much about them, but I do know about the Bells district. If Cooper competes for 2nd in that district why are they 17th in computer rankings and not getting any respect in top 10 from the pollsters? If they could I would expect them to make a run this year in 2A. Not saying it isn’t true but what am I missing?
  4. Never said cheat, but the tone did change from snapshot date to the news story about needing 78 million for 92% higher than average growth there.
  5. Ability to read seems like a common theme today. Please have someone read my post out loud to you. Listen for that comment ……… that’s what I thought.
  6. Alumnus does mean you've graduated right? I should try to explain to you that in no way does that say cheating, but if you've already read it twice maybe maybe it would be better to find someone close to you to read it out loud. Now I see why you can't understand why you aren't football gods for beating up on teams like Howe. I'll say it again, most teams you're playing have home grown players.
  7. Is this a thing? Do people really "Worry" about playing Gunter. I'm sorry but I doubt anyone is "Worried" but keep telling yourself that Mr. superior GTAlumnus. Cracks me up how high some of you are on yourselves and it really seams arrogant. I guess you have to be from Gunter to understand they are the "Chuck Norris" of all things football.
  8. I don't think Grant has anything to do with motive here. IMO Sherman was tired of losing players(especially this one) while Gunter continually adds to their numbers(except on snapshot day). Grant unfortunately was caught in the middle of two programs neither of which had his interest above their own. One trying to thrive and the other trying to survive.
  9. Plenty of examples of great D1 kids that play smaller divisions, especially when they are vested in their hometown and don't move out for athletic reasons. To me a kid putting in the work(or gifted enough) to play at the next is a special thing at all levels. I'm just not impressed with players moving to lower divisions to beat up on lesser competition and that what was implied. I quote "so you wouldn't take the job and the title and have a chance at winning a state champioship at a storied program". Sorry, but to me it's like putting your better players on JV to go undefeated. Did anyone really get better, or is it just bragging rights for the JV? Before you throw me under the bus for being a straight running idiot, maybe you should know I'm more about competing than wins and it seems to work(for me).
  10. And the top 100m kid is going to Texas. Did I say there isn't any next level athletes in 3A? As a matter of fact I've seen 6 man players go D1. I would think the straight running idiot would be the one that can't read.
  11. Well said! I hate it when they act like their decisions are pro kid when everyone knows it's greed.
  12. I wouldn't and here is why. If my son had a real chance to play next level the best place for him would be a higher division. College coaches prefer recruits compete against other next level athletes. I don't want to take anything away from the hard work the kids put in(and it's obvious in Gunter), but the talent in 3A and 5A isn't close. No doubt Gunter transfers have a better chance to win a championship in 3A, but "storied" or not that's not as big a deal when you engineer it. More than once, I've heard Gunter fans comment (almost complain) about how the competition is weak until they meet up with certain teams. Well no kidding, you're in 3A!!!! Are there exceptional athletes yes, but not nearly as many. For example(only because it's measurable), the top two 100m runners in 3A(exceptional) are the only ones that would make the top 30 in 5A this year. The majority of 3A towns have kids with great great grandparents from the town(and wouldn't change a thing) not move in's from bigger surrounding towns. Just my opinion, but beating up on those type of teams does not make you "storied" and it certainly doesn't develop next level athletes.
  13. Why is Kierra listed as a 2022 in the link? I thought she was a freshman, that makes her 8th grade.
