  1. Exactly. Set the structure, let Fedora play architect while his coordinators run the show. Do not announce a hire until 7/1 and then the hire announced is Fedora. Simple solution for a simple problem.
  2. Those guys don't have time for that.
  3. Ray Woodard's name comes to mind for Groveton. Wouldn't take too much to plug him into the head role and he would probably stay until he couldn't stay anymore.
  4. He actually adds great value to the show and makes it entertaining. He's also probably volunteering his time or being paid a measly amount to promote and advance the sport of football in Texas. Cut the man some slack and try being appreciative.
  5. No, I wouldn't say the same about those because I am fairly certain no one associated with those camps would advocate for KIDS to sidestep their commitments to their high school teams and coaches to participate. Also, both of those camps are associated with legitimate, trusted football names like TODD DODGE and MICAH PARSONS. Trench mob academy's website refers to only two coaches, Jamal Williams and something called Coach Dre. Neither of these guys have any credentials to be found anywhere on the internet that would lead me to believe they have any credibility in the coaching space. Also, as stated in an earlier post, it's clearly a money grab. Yes, the initial camp advertised above is $50 for the dates listed, but on the website, what they're really doing is trying to sell monthly memberships to whatever the hell kind of program they are pushing. If you want to only learn "fundamental techniques", it'll be $75 a month. Want to step it up and "learn the fundamentals of football and the techniques necessary to become a top-tier player", that'll be $200 a month. Or, if you are really a D1 guy and want to absorb all Coach Dre' has to offer, for a measly $300 a month you can get the package "focused on developing proper technique".......whatever the hell that means. And then there is this nugget from the website: "The Trench Mob Academy specializes in football defensive lineman training, offering a comprehensive program designed to develop the skills and techniques necessary to excel in the trenches of the football field. Our program is ideal for defensive linemen of all ages and skill levels, from youth players to collegiate athletes, and even those aspiring to play professionally. We believe that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible. Join us today and become a part of the Trench Mob family!" Just a bunch of words that don't really say anything. As for Daryl Williams, apart from the camp being held in Lake Dallas where he is from, there is not one mention of his involvement in the program on all of the website or advertisement. You see, these guys attach to a guy like Williams, who they believe will give them credibility, use his image on the flyer, maybe even have them come through to the camp, they then pay that guy a little money, and sell their phony memberships off of that guys name and not the substance of their product. It's a racket and all players should steer clear of this nonsense. Trust your high school coaches, trust guys like Todd Dodge and Micah Parsons. Be cautious of anything with gimmick camp names, coaches who can't even use their full name in their bio, and people promoting it who will tell you your individual growth is more important than what can be derived from putting your team first.
  6. LOL!!! Like I said, anything called "Trench Mob Academy" is nothing more than a money grab from guys who have no actual skills to earn a living, so they prey on the hopes and dreams of kids and parents who have kids who think they're going to the "league". "High school teams? Naaaaa, come over here to Ray Ray Johnson Memorial Park and do some drills with a "7-year NFL Vet", and we can make you a D1 athlete. That'll be $1500 please......." These guys are the absolute scum of the earth. They rank right up there with the guys who "only choose the top 25 5th graders in the nation" to play in the HIM BOWL every year, and they've chosen your son. All you have to do is send $5000 and pay all your travel and we will put you on a team. You will be coached by former D1 athletes who only played one-year because they were sent home for behavioral issues and couldn't sell enough Frenchie puppies to make ends meet. "We promise, we all about the kids".....
  7. Congrats Coach. Someone is going to get a top-notch job, left in amazing shape by Therwanger.
  8. Anything called "Trench Mob Academy" with random NFL OL pics is sure to be a subpar experience.
  9. Why am I seeing reports that Timpson is OPEN?
  10. Where the heck is Vosky Howard? I just realized he has been missing from this Timpson team over the past few games. Is he hurt?
  11. I am from the SETX area so I am pretty familiar with the QB, and yes, he is special. It will be interesting to watch this group grow together and see what will happen. Who knows? Might catch lightning in a bottle.
  12. What’s the ceiling for this Rusk group. Hard to believe they’ll challenge Carthage, but I guess you never know. What are y’all’s thoughts?
  13. No prob.....but which one is it? I know the DC is Hanna and I've heard good things, but cant figure out which of the others has been a HC before.
  14. No, someone said there was a former HC on the WH staff who could be a good fit for the job.
  15. Cancelled? Sounds like an absolute mess.
  16. This is the most drama in Colmesneil I've ever seen!
  17. Man, they must've really worked to make sure all the community knew where to go to vote and felt comfortable going there.
  18. I have no idea what happened here, but Coach P is leaving Crosby and they are looking for a new head man.
  19. This comment is predicated on the fact that no extracurricular activities contribute to the education the kids are receiving in the district. If a band hall, or theatre performance center, or field house, or stadium, or gym becomes too small or too worn to provide an adequate space for experiential education for the students of the city where you reside, by voting no on those bonds you are taking those opportunities away from those students. Educators, coaches, and fine arts teachers will stop working in those districts, families will move, businesses will stay out and property values will decrease. Fact is, most bonds are relatively cheap for all property owners in the area and those who are against additional taxes continue to vote against them because it's the only tax they feel like they can control. Your real gripe is with the appraisal districts that the state govt continues to allow to tax us out of our properties. Abbott has the opportunity to handle that issue in the current leg session, but chooses to redirect all of the attention to vouchers and vilify public education rather than point out the actual crooks.
  20. What an absolute mess. I do not know what happened, but it must've been pretty crazy. For Day to go from getting a great job and being celebrated, to resigning on day one and not being welcomed back to the place where he was previously celebrated?! That's a hell of a turn.
