Please, all of you East Texas homer's (including myself, realizing I am not one of you favorite posters on Smoaky), over the last 15 or so years, what region has ruled Texas 4A football (3A until the extra "A" was added)? It was East Texas with either Gilmer, Carthage, Liberty Eylau, and or Pleasant Grove. Until you CM homers and cow pattie, newly sprung up communities win something, just be silent and take the beating that you eventually have coming. Does we need to start counting the trophies?

Please see my post on the East Texas 5A thread. Nac definitely has the better coaching and that could be the difference. Marshall's offense has got to show up.

Marshall is going to have a difficult task with Nac's defense. Nac's front seven are big and active and their secondary is very good and experienced. For Marshall to have chance, they must be able to run the football and the Mav's head coach and staff must put their players in position to be successful. I still can't understand why he milked the clock against TH the whole first half with NO lead or points on the scoreboard. Poor job...to say the least. Go Mav's!

I saw the CM/PG game. The qb is all CM has. I'm going with Gilmer. The Buckeye secondary is probably better than PG's and they must avoid turnovers. CM did all of their damage on busted plays. CM's defense is nothing like Carthage's defense and the get gassed when they get leaned on like PG was able to do in the first half. CM will try trick plays. PG was the better team and only because of injuries to key PG players was CM the better team Friday. Deep East Texas smash mouth football rules, Gilmer by 28.

I don't see what broadcasting the game really has to do with the virus. Gameday would broadcast any team that Arkansas High was playing, I mean teams from Arkansas, not just Texas High as an opponent. That was the way it was in the past with First Baptist broadcasting the games. I do not know what is different this year.

Texarkana Gameday has not broadcast an Ark. High game this year for the first time ever since them, and originally First Baptist Church, first started streaming the games live. It may have something to do with covid but heard on a TGD broadcast that it was "hard to get in at Arkansas High." I don't know what they mean but TGD has done feature interviews with several of their players.

Also, all of the Texarkana Texas side schools will be featured each week of the season. They broadcast Texas High's game in Tyler last Thursday.

Does any one of you Longview SDC posters know if gate tickets will be available for the Texas High scrimmage for visitors? Does any one of you know if the scrimmage will be live streamed on Lobo TV?

What are you saying? That there is going to be a pandemic in northeast Texas 3A football? Sure hope not.

I would have started him at LE on varsity as an 8th grader. Their season could not have turned out any worse than it did. I would doubt that PG hcoach would want to go through growing pains two years straight but the young man is good.
