  1. With Tatum stopping football for the next two weeks due to covid19, hoe does that affect their last opponent Daingerfield this week?
  2. Does this mean that their last opponent Daingerfield must shut it down also?
  3. LE has got to get rb Henderson untracked not just in this game but the rest of the way.
  4. That is true if the head coach lets him play qb. I've heard it said that qb won't be his position. He could play well at multiple positions but he can sling it with the best of them, great character also.
  5. Yeah, last years head coach blocked the transfer. LE, in addition to the db (safety)/wr, has 3 other wrs tat are freshmen this season but no qb that is even close to being a difference maker.
  6. LE is still looking for its quarterback of the future from last season. He can be found at PG running with the PG freshmen team. As an 8th grader he was better than an other quarterback in the Leopard program including both seniors.
  7. Carthage is a different animal than PG. They dropped down to 4A D2 so their numbers are better than those of PG and closer to Argyle. Carthage is able to not have to have players go both ways. IMHO, Argyle would have their hands more than full with Carthage. Carthage made La Vega look average in the championship last season. No contest...
  8. The three bigs up front don't cover receivers. The only linebacker that showed up was Martin. The corners and safeties must improve or it will be the same old song each week. The PG offensive scheme has to evolve and become more diversified because the better teams have better defenses. PG just cannot continue running out one receiver and hope that the defense is caught by surprise. Hope that the PG qb did not break his left wrist.
  9. How is he classified? LE's eighth grade starter transferred to PG last year after the season and will be a freshman at PG. Good size, speed, mobility, great arm and attitude. it is going to be interesting to see what the future holds for him at PG. Honestly, he was better as an eighth grader than any other qb in the entire program including both varsity qbs.
  10. Wow, that one hurts. In my opinion he was the best of the bunch. I pray that he makes a speedy and full recovery.
  11. I don't know whether he transferred or not but I doubt it. His mother does work for the Liberty Eylau School District at the L. E. SOS campus. His dad was a standout football and track star at Texas High and he ran a 45.0 second split on a state championship 4 x 400 relay team with Roddie Haley. The time for that race ended up being a 3:09.8. Smith grew up playing little league with Pleasant Grove lineman/linebacker Landon Jackson. If he did transfer anywhere it would be a huge loss but Texas High has some very good defensive linemen returning and some big, athletic, but untested at the varsity level, linemen coming up to varsity this year. If Smith went to P.G. with what they already have returning, it just won't be fair. Smith is an excellent receiver at tight end also and he runs better than Jackson.
  12. Does anyone have the football schedules for Texas High and Liberty Eylau?
  13. Allegedly, King came in to the position saying that he was going to change the culture at L.E. That surely happened as they went from a perennial playoff team to a winless team in 2019 and that team had tons of talent. They had probably the most brutal schedule of any 4A team in state but they were better than the 0 - 10 record. I had the opportunity to be on campus and witnessed a lack of discipline from football players in the hallways and classrooms. Also, they are losing very good players to other city teams, most notably to P.G. On YouTube check out the 8th grade L.E. vs P.G. 2019 game that was played at L.E. The big running back for P. G. was once in the L.E. schools and the qb for L.E. is now at P.G. The big receiver for L.E. was blocked from transferring to P.G. I'm not saying at all that P. G. is recruiting but only that due to the state of affairs at L.E., players are leaving. There were some very good options, other than coach King, that may have had better success with the program. Coach Davis was one and another was a former L.E. player and alum. Due to prior acquaintances, King had the inside track on the position. Hopefully they will get it right this time and maybe Davis can get it done. The program has been hurt and it may take a long time for it to recover, if ever.
  14. MavChump, please do not worry about Texas High if they should end up in the same district with Marshall. They are just as sorry as they were two years ago (when you were crapping all over them). Just be satisfied that Marshall is the team to beat in any district configuration that they find themselves in.
  15. I do not believe that there is any way that HP has to play in an East Texas district.
  16. Like I said, they would have been nothing but a speed bump to Lufkin. The Lufkin game was the only one the whole season that the Tigers had everything rolling in the right direction and coaching was the most crucial factor in the Lufkin/THS matchup. Texas High has a lot coming back next season, just hope that the game management by the offensive coaching staff. It was awful this season. Slimbodine, eat your heart out. You know nothing at all. Nothing...
  17. The Tigers imploded in the third quarter which has happened to them multiple times this season. The Frisco coaching staff has to be commended for doing a better job of preparing their team and utilizing their talents. If it is any comfort to the Lufkin Panther Nation, Frisco, IMHO, would have been nothing but a speed bump for you all. When the coaching staff plays it close to the vest all night and does not use its best receiver, the one that burned LP, then this is the kind of result that you get. We both need someone else in the HC position. And for all you Bozos that will try to trash me for my past posts concerning BN, his team was behind 34 - 7 at the end of the first quarter tonight and got the mercy rule clock job put on them tonight. THS was the better team tonight but they did not get the job done. If this is the Frisco team that has been putting up 65 points on everybody in the Metroplex then the pickings are slim out West. The good news for the Tigers is that they return a lot of players next season and hopefully, maybe, the coaching will be better and the players improve as students and as young men outside of school.
  18. Get my name right crackpot, SiriusDogon7 or DogonSirius7, whatever you like! I didn't have any ice storm babies back in 2000 so the enrollment had to go up!
  19. I talk a lot of smack but I have just been quiet this season, waiting for the program to improve!
  20. L. E. played the same schedule last year and was beat up by the time district arrived but they still made the playoffs. This season they were very healthy when district rolled around.
  21. It is not the schedule that hurt L. E. They should have been able to win one game in this district. I hate to say it but they may be down for a while. There is talent though but leadership in a lot of areas is lacking.
