As a PA announcer I use the app throughout the games to give score updates, #### I’m gonna have to break out my ‘Joke Maker 5000 App’ to kill time if they can’t get this app to work right !!

What happened to the boy's basketball coach Monds??

Rivercrest moves to the next round with a 14-1 win in Game 2

They had just recently given him the title of Boys Coordinator as well prior to him leaving

Got the job as the AD/HC @ Grapeland

The drop in kids was more significant this past realignment than I had thought with 69 kids. If the Bond Election doesn't pass, then there could be a drop into the 600's next year. 2020 - 741 2018 - 810 2016 - 840 2014 - 846 2012 - 889
-
While I don't disagree with the attempted drop to 3A D1, it would be pretty close to impossible. Last year they turned in 741 as their # but the current cutoff is 514. I don't see them dropping 200+ kids

Being in this area, you see the NL kids either leaving football or leaving the school. They could go 5-5 but they'll always be 0-5 in district and they've had some decent talent go through there too.

They did the same thing Connot’s 1st year

Looks like the Girls Basketball Coach, Justin Milton has been named the AD per Rivercrest ISD post
-
All that we've heard is that interviews started 2 weeks ago, but no front runners to my knowledge.
-
Look I'm sure you've seen and heard a lot of things, but this is a Rivercrest post, not a bash the Baca post. I as well as others are curious to see which direction RC goes because a good coach left for a brighter future and it would be great to see them get something like that in return. Over the years, RC has seemed to learn that taking a risk on a young coach can help build a bright future. As for the other issue, my recommendation is to quit letting Baca live rent-free in your head.

Some of your posts may have a fact built in here or there, but the fact of the matter is that you are jumping on here smearing a guy and his livelihood when he now has no connection to your program. My guess is that you have been a Pitt parent or Pitt player in the past - move on and push for something better for your program, quit dwelling in the past. As for Rivercrest (the actual point of this thread), it would be a great opportunity for a young OC somewhere to get a hold of a good program that needs to continue the momentum that Connot has helped build.
-
Pretty big jump for him to have gone from OC @ 2A D1 to AD/HC @ 4A D1. I wonder if he's a top candidate for the Rivercrest job?
-
Well it's one way or the other. Who knows, maybe this time it'll be traveling South to Lone Oak/Grand Saline.
-
So we'll get the band back together - Chisum/Prairiland/Cooper
-
He "pulled himself out of consideration" when they didn't consider him for the job!!
-
Honestly, they've had to know for the last few years he was going to leave soon. Rumor 2 years ago was that he was a candidate for MV prior to them hiring Briles.
-
You’re right this isn’t Allen, SLC or Carthage, this is small town Texas. That Emergency Meeting can take place at 2 different places - the local coffee shop in the morning or church on Sunday!!
-
With growth pushing out that way, it’s just a matter of time before they have that talent.
-
I would imagine it would be a young up and coming coordinator most likely, one that will keep a lot of things similar. You'd like to think that someone from around the general area would be good for it, but Paris runs a totally different system and there's not much at the other surrounding schools. So they'll probably have to venture out a little on this one.
-
That may be true, but if the board is going to let a new superintendent lead them in a search for that AD/HC, then you are putting the kids and coaches at a disadvantage in getting prepared for the upcoming season.
