The Martin's Mill Lady Mustangs are ranked #1 and are the defending Class 2A State Champions. Tomorrow, make their 14th trip to the UIL State Championships as they defend their crown against another East Texas team....The # 12 ranked Grapeland Sandiettes. The Lady Mustangs have defeated the Sandiettes twice this season in a home and home series. The first game in Martin's Mill was 61 - 37 and the second game in Grapeland was 65 - 42. It will be interesting to see how round 3 goes in the Alamodome for all the marbles. Tip off is at 1:30 PM. The game will be broadcast on 95.9 KCKL. Last year, the Lady Mustangs defeated the Lapoynor Lady Flyers 58 - 51 to win the Class 2A State Championship!

The 2019 Boys East Texas Playoff Preview makes it’s annual 2 day run on February 15th and 16th at the Tenaha ISD Special Events Center. It is without a doubt, one of the strongest lineups that this event has produced in quite some time. There are a number of teams still awaiting the final outcome of their district races and Saturday will feature those teams in some great matchups. This is the second time that Tenaha ISD has hosted this event. Special thanks goes out to Supt. The 2018 Girls East Texas Playoff Preview will feature one game this year due to a number of teams playing on Monday and others dealing with injuries and travel restraints. FRIDAY FEB. 9, 2018 FRANKSTON HS Winnsboro vs Crockett 6:30 PM ADMISSION: Adults $5 Students $3 TABC and NCAA Passes accepted

The East Texas Playoff Preview is looking for Class A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A teams that will be headed into the UIL or TAPPS playoffs. The site is Frankston High School. There are 8 openings on Friday the 9th and 16 openings on Saturday the 10th. There is an entry fee of $75 and all teams will be fed after their games. The 2018 Boys East Texas Playoff Preview on Feb. 16 & 17 has changed sites. The University of Texas at Tyler's patriot Center is unavailable due to the Rose City Gymnastics event being held there. The Preview will be played at Frankston High School in their new gym. There are quite a few coaches in East Texas that have been very successful at the 2A and 3A level and would be excellent choices for the Chapel Hill job if they decided to move up. Whitney Keeling from Waskom and Dale Irwin from Arp would be excellent choices if they were hired.
