  1. Gilmer has been very impressive since escaping Sunnyvale. This is one game that I would love to see. Both teams can score. I’ll take the better defensive team in Bellville.
  2. No doubt. That was the only 3rd Qtr drive for Ganado and they came up empty. Especially when they had 2nd and goal at the 2 yard line. Ganado moved over to the passenger seat and let Timpson drive after that.
  3. One of those 8 possessions was with 15 seconds left in the half. And yes, one was the run out the clock to win. So those 2 possessions don’t count for much. But I agree that Ganado couldn’t stop Timpson. As long as the Bears don’t turn it over against Tolar, they should be ok. Both teams can score, so it will be about getting stops.
  4. 5 TD’s to 4 TD’s is probably a good prediction. So, 35-28.
  5. I don’t know. I thought Ganado moved the ball pretty well on Timpson. I remember reading on the other thread that you can’t limit Timpson to 6 possessions, but Ganado did, other than that last run out the clock drive after the 4th down stop. I think Tolar could limit those possessions as well. Still have to get stops though and Timpson’s offense is hard to stop. Turnovers are always key. Should be a good one, but don’t see an easy win for a Timpson.
  6. Credit Ganado in the 1st half. Offense has moved the ball well and scored. Defense keying on #10. The one drive that Timpson punted was a 4th and 1. Looked like a bad spot to me as the receiver had the 1st down when he caught it.
  7. Timpson has really only had the ball 3 times. The 4th drive was with 15 seconds left. Ganado offense doing a good job.
  8. Teams in the Lovelady pool were San Augustine, Elkhart, and Groveton. Lovelady lost all 3.
  9. Definitely Timpson has the best chance. They are a pretty clear favorite. The other 3 games could go either way.
  10. CH has had a good run here against El Campo, Iowa Colony , and Kilgore. I thought all of those games could have been the end of the road. I think this is going to be a great game. I’ll go with the unknown team aka Davenport to end the CH run.
  11. Going against the sentiment here. I think it’s Glen Rose vs. Bellville.
  12. Yea. I didn’t see Glen Rose vs Gilmer in the picture. And Silsbee? Thank goodness for Wimberly, or that would have been a total disaster.
  13. Who knows? I guess it didn’t help them when they got outscored 47-0 in the 2nd half.
  14. The Hornets lose a few, but only one of the offensive skilled guys was a Sr. I’d say about 2/3 of the main guys with the playing time were non Seniors. O-line and DB’s had the most Sr’s. So, I do expect that Huntsville will be in the mix in 2024. We’ll see what District they land in.
  15. Yea, no doubt both Stratford and Tolar on the other side of the bracket are great teams. Timpson is a veteran team with the best player. It’s Timpson time now. Gotta cash in.
  16. It’s interesting that Ganado was picked by Texas Football to finish 4th in their district, yet here they are winning Region 4. Yes, it was a tough district. Timpson is the best team remaining. With Refugio out, and last years undefeated champs, Hawley out, this is definitely Timpson’s title to lose.
  17. The best team in each Region won. But, it’s going to be Franklin vs. Brock in the Final.
