  1. Spring HIll’s defense was really good against Pitt. Offense sputtered but Pitt’s D was strong as well. I like SH in this one. Too many weapons. 35-14.
  2. I know that LE is the district chairman so , as of now, only they know how many will be out. I have heard the UIL is still going to rule on both LE and LaVega. Whatever the UIL says will supersede what the schools say.
  3. Sounds like both schools will be severely punished at least for their next game. The UIL rules clearly state that any player who is ejected for fighting is at least suspended for the next game. So.... when the officials eject everyone on both teams...? I guess they can play the JV in the next varsity game. But it sounds like both teams will have to forfeit their next game.
  4. Ought to be a good game. If SH can control the clock and finish better in the red zone, I think they will come out on top. But Rusk is really explosive on offense. Can’t wait to see this one.
  5. I got to go watch SH-G2O tonight. Here is a few observations. Gladewater’s FB is a grown man! Their QB can really run but is a little inconsistent throwing. But Gladewater isn’t going to have to throw much anyway. SH’s O-line is 100% better than last year. For SH 2 players really stood out. #22 was a beast. Played both ways and probably had 100 yards rushing and 15-20 tackles.#3 is a really good receiver. White is going to be a really good QB. SH is going to be good if they stay healthy. They are a little short on numbers. All in all, it was a pretty interesting game. Good luck to both teams as they continue their seasons.
  6. I would imagine a lot of the movement has to do with the relationship with Coach Lovier. He used to coach at Lee and probably developed good relationships with a lot of the coaches. That is probably why they are changing locations.
  7. I know of at least 3 football coaches that have said they are leaving. Last years secondary coach, LB coach and receiver coach. I think the DC is going to coach LBs, and he is talking to a secondary coach. The receivers coach is coming from Lee.
  8. My bad. Terrible with names. I know the kids are all talking about how awesome Coach Griffis is. I haven’t seen them this excited in a long time. And several kids who specialized in other sports are talking about playing football again.
  9. The OC is Weston Griffins, OL coach from Lee. I heard the DC was the DC from Tatum.
  10. I heard this weekend things are going great. The kids seem to really be responding to Coach Lovier and the new OC. I hear the weight room is on fire. Kids are coming up to the school early in morning to get extra work in. I know that he has almost completed his staff. The DC is on board. All that is left is a secondary coach, I think. So, for all of those who are talking #### about the situation, you’re 100% wrong. Things are on upswing on the Hill!!
  11. I heard today that 2 coaches from Lee are coming to SH. O-line coach and receiver coach. Plus they are talking to a couple of guys about the DC job. And they will be adding a secondary coach. I know the RB coach and DL coach are staying. Gonna be a pretty big turnover though.
  12. So now that Coach Lovier has taken over the reins at SH, who will he bring with him? Any idea who will be the OC and DC? Or will he just keep the ones already on staff? Most of the time when a new guy comes he is able to both some help with him.
  13. Excellent! Coach Lovier is a great choice! I know everyone at SH is excited to start this new era. Best of luck, Coach!
  14. So, Dillon, don’t keep us hanging. Did Stepp give you so names?
