  1. 9.24.22 : Praise Report Coop’s had a pretty busy day today. He’s had his eyes open spontaneously several times. They have him breathing for about 2 hrs at a time multiple times a day with just some pressure assist from the vent with the goal of upping that duration every day. This is helping train his lungs to get back to full strength. When he’s in charge he’s usually more alert. The doctor’s are pleased with his progress over the last two days. When he’s asked to respond to commands, you can see his effort. He’s hearing, just going to have to work those motor skills every day. He’s moving his lips too, looks like he’s mouthing or trying to. He’s got fishing shows on tv now so he can get some familiar stimulation and motivation to get back out on the water. Keep praying Warriors
  2. I agree with you on Gunter winning it all.
  3. I hope everyone took my comment for what it was. "SARCASM" I am a supporter of the WR coaching staff 100%. Just tired of it always being the coaches fault.
  4. WR is overrated and the coaches are horrible. They will probably win this weak district and bow out in the 3rd or 4th round. What a horrible season that will be. They need to hire some of those bleacher coaches I kept hearing in the stands last night. Maybe they could hire some of these keyboard coaches on here, anything would be better than what they have now, right.
  5. Yes they were coaching 10 yr olds last week. They did so good that the school district decided to hire them. Damnest thing I've ever seen.
  6. Cooper’s procedure is done. He is back in his room resting well. His dr is encouraged with his MRI report! He feels like it has improved. Cooper has a IVC filter now to prevent blood clots in his lungs. The plan will be to continue to reduce his sedation over the weekend until he is totally off. Once the sedation is out of his system, we will be able to see what he can do. This is all great news! Coop is fighting Your prayers are working! Please continue to fight this battle with us! You are all prayer warriors and we are so grateful unless something changes… we will update Monday. Wishing you all a prayerful and restful weekend “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
  7. 9.19.22 Cooper update: Cooper had a good weekend. With his sedation meds being reduced, he was able to hold his eyes open, squeeze our hands. It was great seeing his beautiful brown eyes. Cooper is doing well with tracheostomy and we are grateful for this. The doctors tell us that what they are seeing from Cooper is what they consider normal for a trauma patient. Cooper went to MRI this morning and the results were not as great as we had hoped. The MRI shows that Cooper has developed an epidural bleed. We are not exactly why or what has caused this. Though this is scary, and not what we want, this does not seem to be affecting Coopers neuro status right now. Praise Jesus!!! Cooper has been on anticoagulants so they do not want to take him to surgery for fear of clotting issues. He will go for another MRI later in the week to see how this is progressing. Our prayer is that this bleed will resolve itself and begin to reabsorb. The doctors say that it can reabsorb and then Cooper would not need surgery. Please pray with us specifically: 1 Bleed to resolve itself and reabsorb. 2 Cooper not to have to go back to surgery 3 Cooper’s neuro status not to be affected and to continue to progress. 4 Knowledge for physicians and medical staff. 5 Peace and comfort for Cooper as he continues to wake up 6 Peace and strength for Susanne, Terry & rest of the family. 7. No infection (there is always a risk) Because of the expected slow recovery process.. I am going to do M/W/F updates unless something changes. So please pray for our #22. We need your prayers and are so grateful you are fighting this battle with us. Until Wednesday… "The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him—my father’s God, and I will exalt him." Exodus 15:2
  8. With Watson, Mims and Gonzalez it is pretty much a fine oiled machine. I'm not sure what #11's name is but he was good to. West Rusk was missing #8 Murphy on the field last night, but I'm not sure it would have made a difference. He is a hard runner but that Tatum run defense is really good.
  9. You might as well go ahead and put Tatum in the top 10
  10. I agree on Newton. I think Tatum has the best offense WR has seen yet. I don't think y'all will face anyone in district that will give you a tough game, especially if your defense gets better. Y'all's run game is tough, but I expected nothing less from a Keeling offense. Good luck to the Eagles from here on.
  11. Thoughts on this game!! Someone add a poll please.
  12. Ok here's my take on the game last night. Not that anyone cares.. This is 3 missed extra points away from being a 7 point ballgame. Tatum was the better team on the field last night, and probably is the better team overall. Tatum ever gets their pass defense to cover better, (they really didn't do to bad last night), they will be just as stout on defense as offense. West Rusk had no answer for the Tatum offense. Tatum made West Rusk one deminsional last night, and that is not how WR wants to play. I saw 2 really good teams going at it and I think they will both go deep in the playoffs this year. The teams in 3A D1 better be ready come playoff time. Tatum will have plenty of time in district to get the kinks worked out. I think Tatum can play with the Malakoffs, Mt. Vernon's and Brock teams. I think West Rusk will be fine. It will probably still come down to WR and DF for the region in 3A D2. Of course someone is not going to agree with me and that's ok. Just my opinion. Let's all keep praying for Copper Reid.
  13. Today has been a step forward. Cooper is going to require ventilation over next few weeks so they placed a tracheostomy today. This will be cleaner, easier to manage and has less risk of infection. This may seem scary, but it’s the next step in our process. Cooper is able to breathe over the vent. However, the dr wants to control his CO2 levels (for optimal brain healing) and he uses the vent to do so. Cooper had a “sedation vacation this morning” and once again, things went well Thank you so much for your support and prayers. We ask that you please specifically pray for: 1. Decrease in pressure on brain 2. No infection (there is always a risk for infection) 3. Wisdom for doctors and medical staff 4. Peace & rest for Cooper, Susanne, Terry & rest of family. We are so overwhelmed with all of your love and prayers. We realize we seem like a broken clock, but please continue to pray for Cooper. We know your prayers are what has carried us this far. We are so grateful and love you all. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:6-7

  15. Warriors KEEP Praying! Another positive morning friends. Cooper’s sedation was decreased this morning and he has responded His doctor is pleased with his progress this morning. He is now resting peacefully again. The plan is to give him a “sedation vacation“ again tomorrow! This is all really great news! Our prayers are working! Keep them coming! Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24
  16. A Cooper Reid Benefit Account has been set up @ Austin Bank. Checks can be made to Susanne, Terry or Cooper, & can be dropped at any Austin Bank Branch. Checks may also mailed to PO BOX 428 Troup TX 75789
  17. 9.14.22 3:20 update: Last update for today. Cooper has had a eventful day. As mentioned before, he did respond to stimuli and we are so grateful PRAISE JESUS! The Dr’s are optimistic about Coopers progress today. This is a day by day process. Exact words from dr. “We can’t let our high’s get to high, or our lows get to low”. Cooper is resting peacefully now. Thank you so much. We covet your continued prayers Specific prayer: 1. Continued progress 2. Pressure to remain low 3. Knowledge for medical staff 4. Peace & strength for Susanne & Terry & family 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. 1 John: 14-15
  18. Today has been a rough day. The MRI results were not as great as we had hoped for. The MRI showed that Cooper has had a stroke. This is a set back and of course is so very hard to hear. But please continue to pray. Cooper needs your prayers more than ever. The doctors tell us Cooper’s youth is his greatest advantage right now. We know our God is the Great Physician and we believe in the healing power of prayer. Please pray more than ever for Cooper and his recovery. They will begin to decrease his sedation soon and will begin to test to see how Cooper responds neurologically. Specifically pray for calmness for Cooper as he comes out of such a deep sleep. Pray that whatever issues we find as he wakes can be rehabilitated. As always, we feel your love and prayers. We know God has got Cooper in his hands. Please DON’T STOP PRAYING
  19. 9.12.22 @1220 UPdate: CT Scan showed no changes. This is positive news. They did remove the monitor that has been monitoring the pressures in Cooper’s brain. From this point forward they will rely on physical symptoms only. This is the way ICP is normally monitored in ICU. Sometimes the monitors can tell us more than we need to know. So the surgeon is “treating the patient, and not the machine.” If Cooper can continue to hold his pressures and temps, they will start trying to decrease his sedation tomorrow. This won’t completely wake him up, but it will begin to pull him out of such a deep resting state. Depending on how this goes, they will continue to decrease the sedation. Thank you all for your continued prayers. They are working. Our prayer requests remain the same. Specifically: 1. Decrease in brain pressure 2. Temperatures to remain stable 3. Knowledge for medical staff 4. Peace for family 5. Staff and students of TISD and surrounding communities For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
  20. Update: 09.12.22 Update from Susanne: Going to take Cooper in for another CT scan this morning. His icp is staying higher than we need it to be. If CT scan comes back good, the dr. is going to remove the ICP monitor because it is stressing everyone and not giving a good read. (I pray this is the case)His temperature is not staying at a regular temp and his heart rate is low. Urine output, lungs and pupils are good. His blood pressure is also good. It’s day 3 which means we are at the peak of a 5 day critical period. Please pray specifically: CT comes back showing improvements with pressure and swelling We can get his temp regulated and heart rate up without new medication Tomorrow he will be stable enough to start reducing sedation and ventilation and slowing start waking him up and see if he can handle it! We are overwhelmed with the love and support when have seen and felt over the weekend. I can’t begin to express the gratitude in my heart. We believe in the power of prayer.. For where two or more are gathered together in my name, there I am also. Matt 18:20. I believe God’s word and His promises. I will send an update on the scans as soon as I know something.
  21. Have had many text asking for a update on Cooper this afternoon, so wanted to give a quick update on todays progress. Since this mornings scare with his increased ICP pressure.. things have calmed down. As said before, his pressures stabilized and have held steady this afternoon. Praise Jesus! They still need to come down, but they are not going up. The neurosurgeon is optimistic with his progress. Susanne & Terry are encouraged by what the surgeon had to say. Coopers temperature has remained normal all day. Your prayers are working. We know it is your prayers that are healing Cooper, and giving his family strength. Please continue to pray. We ask specifically to pray for 1.decreased ICP pressures 2. temperature to stay down 3. Guidance for medical staff and doctors 4. Rest and strength for Cooper’s family 5. We also ask that your pray for the students, teachers, coaching staff and admin of Troup as they go back to school tomorrow, and the days ahead. As Susanne said yesterday… “this is a marathon” and with all of your prayers, Coop will finish the race
  22. Please join us in praying for Cooper Reid who suffered a head injury in last night's homecoming football game. We believe in the power of prayer! We are claiming Coopers full recovery and believing that our God, the Greatest Physician will heal Cooper and be fully glorified through this
  23. It was a good game not sure what you were watching.
  24. Tatum did not get smoked that night. It was however one of the best games I've ever seen.
  25. Troup will win this game easy. You heard it here first!!!
