If a coach loves kids there is no way he is a crappy coach. If you love on kids you will win a lot of games. Even if you don’t win a lot of games the thing of utmost importance these days is that kids feel loved. Loving kids ought to be priority number 1. The reason we are at a shortage of coaches is not enough people want to love kids. We are in the me generation not the love God, love others generation.
I would guess lack of pay is a big reason for a coaching shortage....but that's just me

Parents and locals think every school has talent. They are blind to the truth, it's not about your talent. Its how your talents compares against other teams' talent

that doesn't mean they can't be successful in football, just stating that the higher ceiling is in track for them year in and year out. Plus east tx 3a football is deep with quality teams. East tx 4a is not. The drop didn't help
