True that. Lufkin has the most talent they’ve had in quite some time on the varsity right now. The next two years should be good but guess what… Coach quick and them will mess it up. Our ceiling is forever limited with that staff here. The boys are gonna have to drag these coaches along the next few years for us to get any success out of this group. I have faith in the kids. But zero in our staff.

Eh. I understand all of that to an extent. Tyler is more likely to benefit from a transfer move-in or something of those sorts. Lufkin gets absolutely zero transfers. Nothing close enough to us and the economy here with jobs isn’t exactly a hot bed lol. We got us and that’s all we got. Not to mention. Lufkin is a 1 middle school town.

Out of all of us bigger east Texas schools, Lufkin is by far at the biggest disadvantage. We ain’t got nothing around us to pull from. Just a bunch of small schools and most of those don’t even play football lol. Diboll does their own thing and Huntington wouldn’t have a single kid worth fighting for lol.. We could’ve beat y’all 59-7 if we wanted lol… If you go read our game thread you would see where I mentioned our DB’s getting beat a few times and if y’all had a decent QB y’all would’ve scored at least one, maybe two other times. Either way, we handled y’all easily. Lufkin made a lot of mistakes as well. Still the game being lost was NEVER a concern for Lufkin lol.. Legacy never had a chance. Your info is wrong period. Not in the last 40 plus years. The back to back losses in 2013 (28-24) and 2014 (38-35) were in Nacogdoches. We played in Nacogdoches in 2013 as a non district game, then in Nacogdoches again in 2014 as a district game. The other previous loss was in 1992 (21-20) in Nacogdoches. The previous win by NAC over Lufkin was a 16-0 win in 1982, don't know where that game was played. I’ve been told by someone nac has never won in Lufkin. If you find that to be false, let me know the year and score.

JT should win. Legacy isn’t very good. They couldn’t even score when Lufkin threw the backups in with 9 mins left in the 3rd. We could’ve scored 50+ with the starters in. If the legacy QB was decent, they could’ve scored a couple of more times because our DB’s got caught lackin several times. But he isn’t accurate at all lol.

Lufkin could’ve set a tone and sent a message tonight and instead up by 24 points we decide to throw the backups in, hand the ball off 3 times and punt. This staff man. An ugly 1st half is in the books. Lufkin 25 (3 missed XP’s) Legacy 7. Lufkin had a decent 1st qtr, sloppy 2nd. Legacy is not a very good team.

Better have one heck of a front 7 if you’re gonna stop our backfield.

Lufkin puts no effort into their JV. We put all of the good Sophs on varsity. Most of that JV team won’t start at the varsity level. Now the freshmen, we just don’t have a lot of talent in that group. The group behind them have some kids that can go though.

Lufkin not being ranked in this top 10 for 5A is a little surprising. Considering we were top 10 pretty much all season last year while going 30-8 (14-1) and we’re returning 7 starters from a regional semifinalist team.
