I believe that it has been made official that Wallace is now the holder of the AD title. Interested to see who he chooses as his OC/DC for next year.

I guess there's nothing else to do but wait and see how things unfold. I wish the administration would just stick with a guy long enough for him to really build a program. A team will never be successful without a program bred into its athletes.

From what I hear Wallace got the job. Don't know too much about him but I have been wondering why the coaches from Carthage, Allen, Waskom, etc that apparently applied didn't even get an interview.....

Well... that was interesting to say the least. I went to watch a football game and stayed for a track meet. Both teams played their absolute hearts out, and ultimately, whoever had the ball last was going to win the game. It was an insane scoring competition. I'm sure nobody expected this game to go that way. Good luck to Beckville in the advancing rounds, and thanks for a great game.

As I look more and more into Beckville the more I realize that this is going to be a really really really good game. Safe travels for everyone making the drive tonight.

This Thursday, the Shelbyville Dragons will meet up with the Beckville Bearcats at Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium in Tyler to kick off the first week of playoffs. This is Shelbyville's third straight year making it to the playoffs (first time in school history), but the Dragons have been one and done the past two seasons. Will the Dragons lock in and advance to the second round for the first time since the Ferguson era? Or will the Bearcats redeem themselves from the preseason loss to the Dragons last year? Who ya got?

Pretty sure SA will not be making an appearance in the playoffs this year.

Man. My prediction could not have been anymore wrong. Timpson has announced itself as the real deal this year. Congrats Bears! They will be scary these next couple of years I feel like.

I could see it too. It's hard to beat Lawson twice, we found that out last year.

Shelbyville can be just as good if not better than every team in this district, but only when they want to. For some reason, they haven't been able to put 4 full quarters together of just wanting it like they did in the 3rd quarter of Garrison, 1st quarter of Joaquin, and 1st and 3rd quarters of Timpson. Hopefully playoff implications will light a fire under them to give it their all for 4 full quarters this week.

Joe has the best secondary that I have ever seen them have and I firmly believe the Timpson passing game will be shut down early, forcing them to feed Courtney and Bussey every play, who will ultimately break a few big ones, but will eventually get tired from taking a beating on both sides of the ball. Courtney will be forced to make tackles every play on Defense because of Joe's offense, and will be fed the ball almost every play because of Joe's secondary. In my opinion, it's overall just a bad matchup for Timpson style wise.

Depends on what Sville team shows up. If the Sville team that can't control their emotions that played Joe last Friday shows up, SA will probably take the dub. If the Sville team that played Garrison that cared about execution and winning the football game instead of personal 1v1 battles, then the Dragons should have no problem. Anybody know how Barnes is doing? Saw he played a little bit against Garrison.

I've finally somewhat recovered from last Friday.... if someone could PM me one of those therapist's numbers y'all talked about yesterday that would be great. Anyways, after seeing both of these teams play my Dragons, I have to take Joaquin simply for the fact that they can consistently gain positive yards whereas Timpson relies heavily on occasional big plays. Joe's defense is also very scrappy, and they finally have a secondary that can stop teams that have a good passing game. Taking Joe for the district champs.

Looking pretty dark in Sville. Weather might become a factor for this game.

That Dragon D line sure is sharp tho. I honestly cannot wait to see how that matchup goes down.
