The onsides kick was a successful recovery by the kicking team. Very well executed. On the offensive PI it's hard to say. I do know last year Ernest Cambell blatantly pulled Terry Bussey to the ground and caught the pass that sealed the deal for Refugio. There was no flag. It was a terribly bad blown call. Or non call. It was way more offensive PI than this one. Highschool officiating is as bad as I've ever seen it in my 40 plus years of being around the sport. The problem is the shortage of officials. The UIL could do better! If not, the schools could budget in enough money to cover their home games. They waste MILLIONS on other things! And yes, I have volunteered my time. I put a decade into coaching and managing youth sports in our area. We had better officiating than what I see at current UIL events. Rant oover. Fix it UIL!!

I fully expect Timpson to be in the regional finals, and I think Garrison is good enough to get there as well. Beckville is ranked higher, but Garrison is way better. That's my opinion, but I've seen them both play multiple times. I don't know much about Cooper other than they were big and physical last year.

He looked good in the pocket. His line did an outstanding job too! If they meet again I would use the spread formation more.

I wouldn't be surprised to see these two play again in the regional final. Not sure how the bracket is set up? Garrison is WAY better than Beckville!

The Wheeler team that Tenaha beat for the championship had a really big line on both sides of the ball. Their MLB was an A&M committ, and I'm pretty sure they had some other D1 big men. Not 100% sure, but I watched the game in person and they were really big.

It was 98 when Tenaha beat Elsysian Fields in Tenaha. That same year EF lost to Celina in the state championship.

Tenaha beat Elysian Fields in 97/98 whos only other loss was in the State Champinship game to Celina. They also played a very good Logansport team to a 60 to 58 loss in 97. That Tenaha team was very strong and widely considered one of the best small school teams of all time. Those Garrison teams were very good, but I think the Tenaha team and the current Timpson teams could beat them. No disrespect just my opinion.

I think the Timpson team is better. Along with the Chavis McCollister Tenaha teams.

They weren't way better than these current Timpson teams. They might have played a different brand of ball, but the Terry Bussey era in Timpson is possibly the best in East Texas for small school. I say it's a toss-up between them and the Chavis McCollister Tenaha teams.

Garrison just needs to get out of this one healthy. Lay it on heavy early, and run the clock out in the second half. Not to sound ugly, but I think SA is done. It sure looked that way in the 4th quarter last week. Like they are ready for some basketball.

I'm taking the Rams at home in a very close one.

Two good teams, but Timpson is on a different level. I think it will be close for a quarter or two, but eventually Timpson will pull away. Bears by 21 plus.

Daingerfield is 3a D2! They don't have the depth to matchup with a 4a team! I can't imagine why Center fans can't figure this out. Historically they play small schools in pre district and they aren't ready for schools their size.

Garrison by as many as they want. SA is loaded with athletes, but it won't be enough.

A little bit of good fortune sounds like. 0 is Franydrick Buckley. One heck of an athlete, but has had a few personal issues off and on throughout highschool. It appears he has gotten himself together for his Sr year, and he stepped up tonight big time! I'm happy for him and his family. They are good people. Sorry for SA! Sounds like they let one slip away.
