I will say it again, you would think with the little bit of success that they have had over the last few years they could have gotten a coach with a better resume. I don't know the man at all and I wish him luck at WC, just a little head scratching IMO

You are absolutely correct, but I personally would think that the OC from a traditional power such as Celina could have gotten a chance at a much better place than RC

Anybody hearing anything out of Bonham? It's been real quiet..

I have been at schools that have pulled students out of athletics, in turn, it was not a pleasant place to work. My current school does not do this at the HS level. It will happen occasionally at the JH level, but still very rare. We have a built in tutorial period in the middle of the day for teachers to pull kids for extra work/makeup work.

Any idea of who they brought in?

I heard yesterday from a coach on staff that they don't plan to make a hire until April. Really hope that isn't true just for the sake of the kids in that program

Wolfe City hasn't had just great success, but they haven't been bad recently. I would think they could find a young coordinator from a successful program or a head coach that has had more success than Trompler...

I know they are hiring a new sup as well, but I would think that if they tried to wait until they hired a new sup that it would be extremely late in the year to hire a quality AD. It would be close to summer time at that point

I agree the talent level would be the best he's had in a LONG time! He earned his stripes on the defensive side of the ball early on

You may be right, but maybe the size and type of kids that RC has may help turn the swamp green.

You can call it 'cheating' all you like, but the fact is that a group of petty adults are hindering a great kid from being able to play his sport his senior year.

Leonard doesn't have much talent coming up or returning. They are losing one of the best players in DJ Brown, how are they going to replace that production? Also, the new AD/HFC testified in the Gunter transfer situation so I'm willing to bet that Gunter is going to drop as many as they want on them when they play.
