Well, I'd have to do a lot more digging to find out when they started 0-3. But I know you'd have to AT LEAST go back to the year I was born, in 1987. It has not happened in my lifetime, that I'm aware of, anyway.

But you're right, the schedule has been brutal. I'm OK with it, honestly, because district and the early round of the playoffs are going to be somewhat vanilla.

And yes, the playbook needs to open up a bit. It doesn't need to get more complex, necessarily, just opened up. For the life of me I cannot figure out why we're not mixing up the formations, running a bit of full house, running a bit of the pro-I unbalanced look from back in the G.A. Moore/Butch Ford days, especially with the big heavies we've got. And for crying out loud, I'd love to see some crossing patterns in the passing game. We are not attacking the middle of the field at all and I don't know why.

maybe the 1983 team that finished 1-9.

I only saw a bit of film. What was your take on Celina? Defense looked solid from the little I saw. Decent amount of speed, looked physical. New QB can spin it too. Offensive line is pretty big and moves fairly well. Hope they stay healthy.

Defense looked really good, very quick.  Huge OL. Davenport the QB I thought looked pretty good. Main target was the 6'7" kid DJ Dell'Ano. They hooked up on a 40 plus & 50 plus yard TD's during the live quarter.  Running game was almost non existant but that may have been on purpose. Bill maybe wanted to work on the passing game during the scrimmage.  Melissa next Friday should be a good test for the Bobcats.

I would love to see Celina and Pilot Point renew things again. We hated each other when I was in school. We grew up learning to despise the Bearcats. Pilot Point week was intense all around, and things would get pretty nasty between us and them leading up to the game. But it was a blast. It was always the "blackout" pep rally too, and the cheerleaders/band/drill team, everybody would always go all out. Hell, to this day, I still hate the look of orange and black and refuse the combination.

This! A war most years and either stadium was standing room only. All the back and forth of coaches and even a few players to each town make this rivalry more intense.
