  1. Argyle played their game like I thought and most people thought they would. They're just too good. But kudos to Lindale on a great playoff run and I had fun rooting for y'all after beating my nephew and his Vidor squad. Hopefully we meet up in the playoffs again next season.
  2. When Vidor played in Jasper back in mid October there were still limited seats and they were all general admission. But the stadium is nice and recently built with great turf. Visitor seating is kinda small though.
  3. Gotta support our 10-4A district foe in this one. I hope Huffman can pull off the W, as long as they can move the ball effectively, if they don't Kilgore might give them more than they want. But good luck HH, this Pirate fan is rooting for y'all.
  4. Gotta go with Lindale. They impressed me when they played Vidor. Lindale's got a potent offense with mean a$$ running back who runs down hill. The Eagles defense is really the thing I would be worried about since Chapel Hill has been rolling on offense as of late. But either way, I got Lindale by 10. Good luck Eagles, this Vidor fan is rooting for y'all all the way!
  5. Jenkins is a definitely a down hill runner and boy does he run the rock hard every single play. I gotta admit, y'all held #99 pretty much in check also, this was one of the few games he didn't get in the backfield too many times and I think he only had 1 QB pressures on #17. He told me after the game this was the quickest offenses he's faced being on varsity since last year. Btw, I hope #3 for Lindale is doing okay after that injury late in the game, that kid is a dang good receiver as well!
  6. I'm sorry my nephew was #99 not #55, they changed his number the last few games lol... I couldn't tell last night with those horrible gold numbers.
  7. Great game Lindale! Y'all have a solid team. I thought from the first drive with the no huddle and a heavy dose of #22 it was gonna be a long night for the Pirates. But Vidor played their game they way they liked to, especially against a quick scoring team like the Eagles. Pirates milked the clock and ran the ball to keep that potent offense on the sidelines. Our Vidor defense has been our back bone all season and kept us in every game and tonight was no different. They surprisingly kept #22 in check for the most part of the game. But #3 and #4 killed us in the passing game. My nephew #55 for Vidor told me after the game, Lindale was the quickest tempo offense he's faced and also said that #22 Jenkins only had 50 yards only in the first half. But he's two year starter on varsity this year. (he's only a junior.) But Lindale had that ball out of his hands within 2-3 seconds of having it snapped before he had could get any type of pressure on him in the first half and #55 Jordan Smith couldn't get thru the line for any pressure or hit on the QB, they were constantly double/triple teaming him most of the time like most games this year. The second half, Lindale slowed their tempo down and then the Vidor d-line was able to get through the line and made the QB scramble a bit before making him throw on the run and that dude is pretty accurate in the run with great field vision. I was happy how our Vidor boys played, they didn't give up and aged physical til the final whistle. But good luck to Lindale y'all have a great team and wish nothing but good luck the rest of the way. This Pirate fan wll be rooting for y'all! Go Pirates, see y'all next season.
