  1. Books A Million in Longview put them on the shelf today
  2. Has Longview gameday taken over the coverage of Longview football from the LNJ? It just seems crazy to me that the #1 running back in the country is committing in his hometown and the LNJ is not covering the event. No tweets or articles from Jack Stallard, Thomas Bingham or from the ETVarsity account covering the announcement itself. Only a preview article on Taylor making his choice today. I miss Hayden Henry.
  3. Mind sharing where you found the magazine?
  4. I think the previous school signing off on the PAPF goes a long way in saying the kid was not recruited or moving for athletic reasons. However, unless a waiver is involved, residency requirements still must be met
  5. Congrats to Cole! Can't think of anyone in the district that's more competitive than this young man
  6. Anyone found one in the Longview area yet?
  7. I think Sabine has 3 solid running threats that they can rotate...Patterson, Silvertooth, and the kid that played some as a freshman last year. They aren't necessarily home run threats but they are good enough to keep you honest along with Sparks running the ball. Overall, I think they catch the ball as well as anyone in the district. I think the Cardinals can score but defense will be the deciding factor on whether or not they make the playoffs.
  8. When 2nd guessing the outcome of a close game, we tend to only look at the plays that didn't go our way. Usually, for every example of misfortune we can give for our team, the other team can do the same thing. In my opinion, there's just not much stake in "we should've won" arguments....
  9. Care to name 2 or 3 of the other factors? I'm just curious. No big deal if you don't want to explain and I'm not trying to hijack the thread
  10. Seems like you are implying that you believe it is harder for the 5A/6A schools in ETX to compete for the Lone Star Cup than 1A-4A? If so, just curious why you believe that. Not as many big schools in ETX so just law of averages?
  11. I agree that Atlanta and Tatum are slightly ahead of the other 4 but I would not be surprised at all if Sabine gets one of the playoff spots. Overall, I think there will be some very competitive games and probably come down to who can stay the healthiest amongst their key players.
  12. I don't have a good feel for Jefferson mainly because they are the only team in the district that don't return a starting QB. This is what I have: Atlanta - Harrison Tatum - Watson Gladewater - Wilson Sabine - Sparks White Oak - Ludlow started as a freshman at Waco Robinson Jefferson - ? I know Kam is a stud and Jefferson will have some other good players but I think the jury is still out on them until we see how good their QB play will be.
  13. Always enjoy looking at your rankings. Well thought out and research based. Kudos to you!
  14. How are the Lobo QBs looking in 7v7? Anyone making a case to be QB1?
  15. Maybe I am in the minority here, but when you state "We have great athletes" at SH and then accuse others of "smoking crack" and "just being plain ignorant" for not seeing SH through your eyes....it's just hard to take your opinions seriously. SH has some positive attributes to build on but "great athletes" (at this point in time and with only a few exceptions) is not on the list from what I have seen.
