This is how you know you don’t know football.  People are talking about this guys record but doesn’t understand where he’s coming from. The school is very Houston ISD like and to have any type of success there is wild.  That place is losing a great coach and man. He will do nothing but great things up there. Good luck coach

The coach before you coach smithey had a lot more success with 7-8 wins a year. Just sayin

“told to look” I wouldn’t be so sure about that.  The 4 years prior to him being named OC they go 9-4, 7-5, 7-5, 6-5, 6-5 and average 33 ppg. Since he was named OC they go 12-2, 11-2 and average 45 ppg.  I ain’t no rocket surgeon but that’s what I’d call improvement.

Good job and good luck Coach T-Mac LOL.... Hope it works out better than your horrific podcast.

Special teams is huge to coach F.  We have executed extremely well in ST  since coach came.  We did have a muffed snap from our own 13 against Franklin that really killed us.  But for the most part ST was great.  I can guarantee you that we need someone in that phase otherwise coach would not have hired him.   He is also the WR coach

At the risk of being at all critical of a 17 year old or the Sherman Bearcats, he will have a better team around him at Gunter even 4 divisions down.  And we have been watching this Dodd kid come along for quite a while. I think he is good, maybe as good as Graham. Graham was sub 4.5 so neither QB is quite as fast as Graham but both probably fast enough.

Comments about this kind of situation to me are the best form of flattery for a program. But I hope the player is not going to regret the move.  I've seen film, I would take Graham hands down.  But we won't know until they go at in practice and don't think they are going to let Graham come back and play another year.  I didn't think Graham would get the job as a sophomore but he proved himself.  We run quite a bit of WR screens and the ball has to get there in a hurry.  Not sure if Grant has enough arm for that, Graham certainly did.  Pilot Point picked one off that went for a pic6 and he really started zinging it out there after that.  This is big.

Our quarterbacks usually play very little defense.  I am more excited about this young man as a safety - we had an all state one graduate.

The dad isn't a very good coach at all.... There is a reason Gunter hired him. Very below average coach. They hired him for his kid.

Yes. "Center Sup is anti-athletics", among the more ridiculous statements ever made.

Why did Center go 1-9? The Supt at Center wanted his own guy. Its how the business works but he went about it all wrong. There's a reason they went 1-9.

One home town guy that has head coaching experience that no one seems to be talking about around Tenaha is Darius Ingram.   Every time Tenaha has been open in the past his name got floated but not this time.   I don't know.

Ponder will be the guy that everyone wants.   Not saying he will get hired.  But hes the guy everyone thinks will get it.  Rumor is since day one Center Texas school board members have been calling Tenaha citizens dragging Ponder through the mud and telling people not to hire him.  Ain't that trashy if true?

Personally I'm not anti Ponder or anything like that.   Hes just not the guy that I hope gets the job.   I have made my choice although Gabriel Owens  choice doesn't matter in Tenaha texas.  Lol.  Definitely wish I had a little pull.  Lol.  My guy fits us in the short term but also he fits us for the next generation.   Just gotta get the guy an interview and let the Good Lord do the rest.

Great points, Center can say what they want but Ponder won there and they went 1-9 this past season. He's won everywhere he's been. Center New Supt ran off Ponder and that guy is anti-athletics. Center needs to worry about there own Supt.
