  1. Has anyone seen if this game will only be broadcasted on NFHS? I usually watch Gilmer on youtube but just need to know if I need to subscribe for a month.
  2. For Gilmer to even have a chance, they have to keep their own defense off the field. Gilmer goes fast and has the tendency at times to go 3 and out and only take 30 seconds off the clock. If this happens, the game will get out of hand really fast. If Gilmer can sustain drives and stop doing the bubble screen and RB screen 15 times a game against smart teams who can recognize it, then maybe they can move the ball. This is going to be a tough task and it will be interesting to see how much Gilmer's defense has improved. Surrat is looking for what his 10th ring? I'm ready for tomorrow and seeing how this game will unfold.
  3. Gilmer is use to rolling into the 4th round with no problem. I haven't seen Center play, but heard their team is similar to Gilmer's. This should be a barn burner, but I think Gilmer will roll into the 2nd round because of their special teams. I don't know many teams that practice special teams as religiously as the Buckeyes do.
  4. Gilmer needs to just play the starters for the first qtr then rest them. Let the backups finish it off. Pitt will be defeated before they get off the bus. Gilmer is just to fast for them. Also, Pitt's top running back got a concussion last week so he will be out. Running clock will be issued at half time.
  5. Spring Hill will end district at 3-2 while Gilmer will end at 4-1. Spring Hill will have to do everything in its power to move the chains and keep the clock running while taking it down to 1 second on the play clock to keep this game close. Gilmer does not sustain drives for a long period of time. They will either score fast or go 3 and out LOL. I don't see them containing Will on the outside runs or Tate on the deep ball. Also, Gilmer's depth is lot better than SH I would suspect. They have backups at running back and receiver that can get the job done. The Gilmer D will stack the box and play man on the outside. Luckily for Spring Hill, Gilmer D has not been very good at stopping the run. Not sure how fast and physical SHill's O-line is, but they have to be able to get off and move Gilmer back and get 3 to 4 yards a play to keep the clock rolling. Then when Gilmer isn't expecting it, pop a pass to the TE. This isn't new information to anyone. This is what everyone is thinking, so if SH really is as confident as they say they are, they need to go out and try to bully Gilmer and be more physical.
  6. PG will start substitutions after the first quarter. Final is like 49-0 and that is just because it will be a running clock the second half. Pitt could possibly score towards the end when most the starters are out.
  7. I don't see this game being a low scoring game at all. I see a 40-50 something type of game with whoever gets the crucial turnovers will win. Gilmer usually finds a way somehow to get a turnover at the right time of the game to pull ahead. Since PG is running the spread this year, it will be interesting to see the matchup. I'm rooting for Gilmer and Friday can not get here fast enough. For the PG fans, how is their depth compared to Gilmer?
  8. I'm not sure if he is 100% out. I guess I should have said not sure if Tate will be out again or not LOL. I am hoping he will be back because their offense needs the deep threat.
  9. I'll say it again, stop Gilmer's run game and force them to pass and it will be a long night. If they do pass, it will be a little bubble screen or something of that nature. For some reason the passing game can not get going. Tate should be back this week but if he isn't for some reason they are going to have to be able to throw it deep somehow. I'm hoping Gilmer gets their first real win of the season, but time will tell. According to the announcers, if you can not stop the 7th fastest runner on the continent in his age group, it will be a long night LOL. Good luck Gilmer!!!
  10. At this moment if I was Paris, I would focus on the run. After the first 2 games, I would make Tennison beat me with his passing. I have been surprised with the lack of passing and completions Gilmer has this year. Paris always has some freak athletes, but I have not seen them play this year so not sure what they bring to the game. I think Gilmer will win this in the form of 35-21.
  11. How would this Carthage team stack up to the 2013 Argyle team or the 2014 Gilmer team?
  12. Another game Gilmer will dominate by loading the box. Pittsburg does not have a passing game so it will get ugly fast. I think it will be a 56-13 (may score on the backups) type of game.
  13. Yes, tonight for sure and maybe during the playoffs for a game.
  14. Thank you for resurrecting it good sir! I will do better next time.
  15. Tonight will be the first time wearing the all orange jerseys for a not so competitive game agains Sprang Hill.
  16. I would hate to see what LE could do if they had a program and coaches like Gilmer or Carthage. They have some of the best looking JH teams and then when they get to high school they just don't perform. LE is so good at lower levels but then everyone catches them in HS when it counts. They definitely have speed, athleticism and size.
  17. I'm curious to how may transfers or move ins Carthage has each year. Student athletes know their chances of getting a ring is 99% if they play there.
  18. Anyone else's sorry Dave Campbells Texas Football app say game chat has been temporarily removed? I deleted it and reinstalled it and it still says it.
  19. Oh definitely Will Henderson is fast, Rohan has some of the best hands and is hard to tackle, Cadon is better then his brother was at this age and Ashton is a beast running the ball. I may have to try the no sound LOL
  20. Not as hard to listen to then Gilmer's announcers for their live streams I bet. All you hear is how fast Will Henderson is and the other usual 3 to 4 players LOL
  21. Gilmer should win this one hands down! Will be interesting to see if Gilmer has any rust being on bye for two weeks. That can either help them or hurt them. With all of that being said, Gilmer's speed on offense and them loading the box will make a long night for PG. District championship right here folks!!!
  22. Okay, I was the one vote for Pittsburg and it was by accident. Anna rolls right past Pittsburg with an easy win. Pittsburg's one dimensional offense may score once, BUT no more than that I believe. Pittsburg defense is tough, BUT will not be able to hang with the coyotes.
  23. The way Pittsburg ended the season last year on a winning streak is kind of sad seeing them play the way they are. Understandably they are playing top notch competition but their offense is non-existent. Last year their only blowout losses were to Van, Tatum and Mt. Vernon and they were right there with PG, Gilmer and a heart breaking loss to Ford in the playoffs. New year and some new players, but they have to do something to turn their season around before district play starts.
