It would be without the context of the entire conversation. The conversation began with a poster saying that WW will “not be good at all this year” based on the results of the 1st scrimmage. When the talented freshman QB was brought up the conversation shifted to detractors and defenders of the player. To be clear, no one has said anything other than WW will be good this year and their QB is going to be one of the great QBs of the area before he graduates. Not necessarily this year but he will get there in the future. WW will be good this year and will be even better in the upcoming years as the QB transcends into a mature Varsity athlete.

What “hype train”? He ain’t even played a game yet. You said WW hasn’t “done anything”, wait till he gets some games under his belt. You will see.

Well, you did have an All-State center and a future NFL player on the OL/DL. No one close to those two leading up the middle this year. Understand that your flexbone success had a lot to do with those two guys.

Takes more than an off-season to create a Welch and Fite. They do not have another one in the program until the 8th grader arrives. You are not going to be facing the JV from last year. You will be facing nearly the same Varsity but with an improved OL. Tatum does not have the necessary horses in the barn for this game.

Perhaps, offense lost some big hitters on the OL.

They are reading too much into a scrimmage. The commentors have know knowledge of what the coaches were trying to see or which players were in/out, getting looks. WW coaches are not worried about running the score up in a scrimmage with a FR QB taking his first varsity snaps.

If Bryant is middle of the pack for Crockett 2027s, I will look forward to watch Crockett winning state in football and basketball. Bryant will be a 4 or 5 star recruit for multiple sports before he graduates and will be a D1 player.
