My daughter was in Bryan grocery shopping and said, "The sky looked bad." But she had no idea a tornado was in the area! Prayers for you all in Franklin I hope everything returns to normal in short order.

I went to Texas A&M to visit my daughter last weekend and passed through Franklin. I witnessed a considerable amount of damage there. What are the details of that tornado?

Carl Herreha played at Jacksonville JC.

Stay away from the FOP's. Listen to existing staff but believe little about what they say about player evaluations. Make those yourself. Eliminate those that don't believe in your vision players and coaches.

7-0 Carlisle vs 6-1 Union Grove
buckeyefever replied to upullinmychain's topic in High School Sports
A. Whoever voted for UG must be the same guy who keeps voting for any team not named Alabama. B. This game will be over at kickoff. UG will play hard and be well coached but they are playing against thoroughbreds. -
Played out about like I thought. Carlisle I believe is the team to beat in the region. After them I think there are several teams that could beat each other on a given day. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Don’t believe this game will be close. Carlisle wins going away. I think they are the best team in the region. They make few mistakes and Alto makes way too many mistakes to make even make it interesting.
-
Better focus on winning district first. Atlanta and Gladewater both are good teams.

Didn't they play Alto a couple of weeks ago? Not sure scared is the right choice of words. -
Well I tried....

2016 UIL Football State Championships

I love it at AT&T. I hope it returns and I think it gives small schools a once in the life time experience. Yes the times can be tough. But it sure doesn't hurt attendance. There is nowhere else they could play where the audience is as large as it has been in Arlington. No matter how they do it some people will complain. No matter when the games are played certain people won't be able to make it. You will never satisfy everyone for sure. -
Still haven't...

Apparently not only were they students of the game they were near the head of the class....

Or maybe he just knew what he was talking about....

42-6 Final. Guess it wasn't too silly.....

You guys from San Augustine amuse me... the mighty Wolfpack have beaten 3-7 Groveton, 3-7 Hemphill, 5-5 West Sabine, 5-5 Joaquin, and 5-5 Cushing. Losing to Shelbyville would not be unexpected or embarrassing, they are 9-0. But I'd hold off on state championship talk for a program that hasn't won but one playoff game since 1952 or whatever it is. Somehow you all seem to think that based on the success of Beckville and Shelbyville everyone in this district is stellar. I will take Alto in this region. And I will take Mason and Canadian over anything in this region and it won't be close.

Gilmer (10-0) vs Pleasant Grove (6-4)
buckeyefever replied to H3llR4z0r's topic in High School Sports
Buckeyes will win this handily. Congrats to Coach Turner for keeping this thing rolling! -
If you played Shelbyville you would be one and done too correct? Nothing personal I'm just saying they won a couple more games than you guys did. Big Sandy is a four seed playing state ranked and number one seed Shelbyville so nobody expects anything different than one and done. Kind like Pleasant Grove will feel when they play the Gilmer Buckeyes. I just find it amusing when I see a 5-5 team talking like they are world beaters. But good luck anyways....

7-3 is better than 5-5 any way you slice it.

Hate to hear that about your LB. Is he gonna back for district?

Harleton's Jackie Loyd to retire as AD/Head Coach...

Anyone on staff that might be up for this job or will they go outside? -
Why would the torch not be passed to Kurt Traylor? Metzel hasn't been on staff as long as some of them has he?
