Talked today to a gentlemen who said MRI was clear and he should be good to go.

Xs and Os are only a small part of the issues. They are the ones alot of people see and at times are a scapegoat for the real issues.

Jerry Jones could have went 7-3 with the talent MV has. You can't base everything on their record. When you have kids that are only playing because it's their senior year or they don't want to let other players down instead of playing because it's fun or challenging or the love of the game you have an issue. When younger players ( who are starters) are already talking about possibly moving if changes aren't made despite the 7-3 record then there is an issue.

Does D6 get a win this year?

My kids are held to a very high standard and make mistakes constantly but making the mistake is never the problem. It is how you react to the mistake. You can hide your head and keep making the same mistake or you can own it and fix it. If more people would just be honest and quit trying to protect everyone's feelings then we would be alot better off.

I've got MV by 14 comfortably. I think MV has progressed more thru the year than Gladewater. I mean other than Witherspoon scoring 6 times they didn't really see much of the offense we currently have amd our defense is 10x better than it was early in the year.

Still think time expired but hey it taught us a lesson. Hopefully that lesson was don't try and ice a HS kicker from 40 plus yds.

It's knowing players and situations and putting your players in the best chance to succeed. I mean giving a kid a helmet and telling him to knock down a brick wall when there is a bulldozer sitting right beside you isn't great coaching. Why do we start in our base defensive personnel that has proven time and time again they are weak backside. Is it to save players legs? You just came off the bye week. W possessions like that and w easy touchdowns. Switch personnel and bam you get stops. It doesn't take a genius to see things that are that obvious. Has the team grown thru the year and especially since the Mineola game? Yes but I'm not sure that is as much coaching as it is kids and coaches being afraid that if they don't make changes they won't have a job. When you have kids wanting to fight coaches on the sidelines there is something going on and it can't be good.

You can come sit with the MV side. We can admire the bands together.

I have no hatred for anyone. Yes the coaches made sure the boys made it in the bus and got to the game with all of their gear but if you watch the actual games the coaching is sub par at best. Schemes are simple and luckily MV has athletes that can win 1 on 1. We can't figure out how to score from inside the 3. Not just tonight but all year long. We had several chance to put Pottsboro out of the game but instead of going for the jugular we give them 1 last chance to come back and win and luckily we got a bad throw from the QB.

Coaching still isn't the greatest but the kids aren't taking no for an answer.

Ray Charles could see that and how many times are we going to run the exact same routes with the exact same receivers. I mean it's not hard to cover a receiver when you know what route he is running before the play ever starts.

MV coaching was horrible. Mineola coaching was good. Both sets of kids played hard and the result is what it is. MV has to figure some things out in a hurry or we will play our 10 games and get the basketballs out.

Sabine played a good game. QB is legit. They got the breaks when they needed them and did their job. MV can't have 4 possessions inside the 5 and only.comr away with 3 points. Time to figure out a heavy package and move into District play. This could definitely be a first round playoff match.

Last update was he was going to be held overnight for observation but he did have feeling in arms and legs so that's a good thing.

Sadly that is not true. MV has quite a few boys that do football and One Act play and they still want to smash on the field. Playoff wins the last 4 years in football and a One act play State title.

2 years D6 record vs D5 is 1-8 That only includes playoffs. Regular season gets a little worse.
