I believe many here have TAMU a bit overrated and Tech underrated.

David, what is your gut feel on this one? Care to guess who he will choose?

I know (or has been reported) he had some difficulty with the academic side of playing college football. Not exactly unheard of for kids making the transition from small town USA to a University environment. Between film with Malzhan, school work, chicks, work outs...it may just be a lot to handle. Who knows. Now on the football side I think the addition of Cam Newton shouldn't be a main factor. JMO. Newton is a carbon copy of Jerrod and let's face it, JUCO transfers in a system like Malzhan's is going to take some getting used to. Tyrik could have battled and possibly won meaningful playing time with Cam. Probably not a starting slot with Cam's eligibility being what it is, but meaningful nonetheless. Hopefully everything is OK with the kid and he makes a good transfer decision, re: program.

Speaking purely for myself here but I sincerely think SMU will be an ideal location/atmosphere for the Gilmer game. Been to a few SMU games there and I really like it. Hopefully everyone going will as well.
