Where does Kerry Strong really coach at?

I doubt any new coach at Jville is going to play Carthage. Carthage isn’t who you generally schedule when trying to implement your program.

If those dads wanted their kid playing in a good spread offense all the have to do is come over to Gilmer. The problem with that is Gilmer don’t play daddy ball they would hav to earn a spot in Gilmer.

PG does a good job of getting kids from THigh and LE to come over between 6 & 9 grade to avoid that. That said Atlanta ought to go after Gipsons brother

I think Gipsons success has more to do w his recruiting abilities. Atlanta needs to poney up the big bucks, hire Gipson and let him start attracting players.

Pitt will loose a lot, but I agree Abron is a good coach. If Sulphur had any brains they would be going after him.

I hear folks around talking about how great their sophomore class is. This is supposed to be one of their best groups. Whoever gets the job will have something to work with. I have never heard anyone say one negative thing about Coach Russell, which is amazing in this day and age.

Tennison’s knee injury was huge. He was not a dual threat QB all thru the playoffs and all QB run plays were eliminated. Imagine if CS had to eliminate all their QB run plays and Tennison was 100 percent able to run. That said Tennison is a warrior, leading his team to the state championship while needing knee surgery.

Hats off to Coach Metzel. People can say what they want, but 28 wins in 2yrs ain’t nothing to hang your head about. The Buckeyes will be right back at it next year. We are proud to have Coach Metzel in Gilmer.

I was looking at the Historical section on here, and it has Gilmer loosing to Celina in the state championship in 2015. That was not the state championship it was the semifinals. Gilmer has played Celina 3 times now in the semifinals winning in 14 & 21 and loosing in 15.

I think they can compete very well in 4a. I hope their transition to 4a goes well.

Will the UIL keep Carthage in region 3?

Where was number 2 and 15 towards the end of the game we weren’t done hitting on them. Is Gipson gonna go with the spread next year and number 2 at QB? If not he might move back to LE!
