  1. GV defense has vastly improved since the West game, and we’ve had a couple of players take it up a notch on offense. As far as English at QB, I like it. When teams do what Potts did and rush 5 and spy 2 it’s a little less effective of course, but he still got his yards for the most part. I’m glad we’re implementing him more and he’s touching the ball every play. It opened up the run game a lot when we moved him back out and I don’t think Potts played him properly out there so it helped. All about adjustments and figuring out the best way to get him the ball imo.
  2. Love this match up, it’ll be a good one as always! GV has been a completely different team since the loss to West and it showed yesterday. Potts was regarded as one of the best offenses in the state and GV held them to 50 TOTAL yards in the 2nd half. The defense is playing out of this world right now and I don’t see that changing down the stretch. Offensively, GV can pick what it wants to do this week. English and Cannon have been nothing short of great this post season and it’s hard to stop either one. I’ll take GV in a one score game!
  3. Lol I was more referring to all of the talk about stopping Pendergrass and no one talking about stopping GV’s rushing attack. No one is sleeping on Potts, GV is just getting started.
  4. Kason English Grandview High School Grandview 48 Mineola 14 8 car. 137 yds 3 TD’s 8-9 82 yds. 1 TD passing 1 rec. 34 yds.
  5. I would agree Mineola will have an underdog mentality heading into this one and will play like they have nothing to lose. After watching film I think this is a very favorable matchup for GV and with the changes that have been made recently, GV looks like they have taken it up a notch offensively. I still expect a dog fight but give me GV by 13.
  6. Kason English Grandview ATH Sr. Vs. Fairfield 5 car. 181 yds. 3 TD’s 1 INT ret for TD
  7. None as of right now, Texh seemed pretty interested before the coaching change, and just recently is getting a look from Mississippi State, but other than that nothing, which is mind blowing to me lol.
  8. I’ve been waiting on this game all year. Completely bias, but I’m more than excited to see what English can do against national talent. GW is the first team I’ve seen all year respect him in any forums, which I ind laughable, but man as a kid trying to prove himself, you can’t think of a better stage than this one. GV has certainly had its struggles, West game was very winnable, but Glen Rose? Not so much. Dominated in the trenches and having an FBS recruit touch the ball 4 times in the second half against a good team will get beat. Believe it or not, English has been on a short leash this season too, even with exceptional stats. Weak district competition doesn’t help with that at all. So people can get mad at me all they want to, but I will be preaching this will be the best match up this week. Ebner has always stopped the run exceptionally well, but in the 6 years he’s been over the defense, we have struggled to stop the QB run, so with that being said, I say the 2 best players in 3A football both have a DAY on Friday night. Itching for Friday to get here.
