  1. Sticky situation. I did hear the kid transferred to Vandergrift and was their best OL. Hope they get the punishment they deserve and kids have to realize playing stupid games/pranks will get you stupid prizes.

  2. SMH I blame these sorry 🍑 parents. Most played JV until they were in their mid 20s, and then yell or blame the coaches for their offspring to play like straight dog 💩 . Parents aren't gonna get any better. Might as well bite the bullet and up the pay for officials. Money solves a lot of problems.

Definitely some truth to that.  The first year, admin and board give the coaching staff leeway, act all supportive, let them bring in whoever they want, run the program the way they want.  When results arent instant, they start telling the coaches how to do they job.  Coaches either get sick of it and leave, or they get fired.  And then it starts all over.  The kids suffer.  But ppl keep they mouths shut for fear their kid punished.  Same worthless AD, same admin, same board.  year after year.

I always say.. what is the common denominator in all of this. That is usually the problem.

  4. Maybe I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, nor the shiniest but why is it so difficult to televise the biggest high school sporting event in the nation? Literally THSF is the biggest event for all high schools in the nation and most of the damn state won't be able to watch. Direct/Dish are horrendous with these contracts. Just put the 💩 on YouTube live with commentators and call it a day.

UIL starting to crack down on some of the bootleg streams...illegal streamers were getting kicked out of stadiums last week and I know we are shutting down people who take TexanLive streams and put them on facebook etc....violation of the terms and conditions

It's a game of whack-a-mole but the big ones that do numbers are pretty easy to find

I got a cousin who got a cousin who is good at stuff like that hahaha

welp....I was pretty close with my score and prediction about the game. I told yall in games like this you have to be creative and not stubborn. CH had 3 big explosive plays that they scored on but not much after that. Yes they had chunk plays but was contained for the most part. Scoring only 21 pts all in the first qt or first half shows that the offense was stopped. 21 pts is enough to beat someone. That's why I said you must be able to steal points and possessions because you literally have MULTIPLE games on each other so everything is predictable.

Unfortunately they weren't real creative. They packed the box and played over the top of everything. Either way it goes Sanders got behind them almost every chance he got. You have to try to manipulate the defense with motions, swaps, and reads to get them out of place so you can run the ball against an effective line. CH is physical for sure, but are beatable in playoffs.

Well... they both are so familiar with each other that they know what they ate for breakfast this morning. Games like this it gonna come down to who makes less mistakes and also who can throw a wrinkle into their traditional playbook. They potentially have over 30 games on film of each other from the past 2 to 3 years. Not saying change the scheme, but a reverse or double pass or something out of the ordinary to change momentum, and get a cheap score is what it will come to. Your basic plays will be basic and typical on both sides but what is the change up or homerun ball that will be shown. That's what will win the game. I say it will possibly go to OT or Kilgore by 3.

We have dominated 4A-D1 in the past as well, why do people conveniently forget this?

You think anyone in 4A could’ve beaten us last year?  The next game was 4A-D1 state championship and neither of those teams were even close to as tough as Glen Rose.

My final 2022 rankings from watching games:

    1. Carthage

    2. Glen Rose

    3. China Spring

    4. Boerne

    5. Gilmer

    6. Pleasant Grove

    7. Wimberley

I'm saying this based off of the fact that the topic said "can any team in D2 beat Carthage".  So I'm saying that there are more qualified teams to beat Carthage in D1 than D2. To hell with it lol impress me... go beat Lovejoy or SOC.

We’ve lost the last two semis to prove it.

I've seen a lot of football in my day and when you get teams who are predictable it is easier to play against. The scariest teams are they ones who you know are talented but also as people say "have some s*** up their sleeve". It's the what if factor that will keep the coordinators thinking at all time. Stubbornness won't win you this game. It's chess not checkers.

If new projected numbers cor d1 cutoff are true we are not even close to be d1 nor will we ever be think they are projecting in the 900 range carthage turned in 780 this year and usually hovers around that 800 number don't forget all the d1 championships carthage won as the smallest in d1

What years were they D1? I forgot. I thought it may have been 14? But it was only about one or two realignments right?

I agree Koff is the favorite by 7 or less, but have you seen Winnsboro’s season stats?  They are almost exactly 50% pass vs run on the season.

I think it'll be a game where you can't afford to play catch up for sure. Turnovers and 3 and outs will lose you this game. I think someone mentioned earlier Koff strong point is run defense. I hope everyone stays healthy so it is evenly matched.
