  1. lol their HC was crying about the state game being in Dallas last year, which is there every single year expect like 15 or 16. He was more concerned about travel plans than actually winning. They're a good team but they call him Mr. Texas for a reason... lol I'll take Superman and the Justice League (Timpson) all day.
  2. I like this momentum for JT. Hopefully they get back to the old way
  3. I might just roll that way. I live out by Corsicana but I think it'll be worth the drive. From what I've seen so far... Timpson doesn't need Bussey until the 4th round maybe. And without the big Brooks brothers from Shiner, Timpson should coast to state. I don't think D-field will score more than 17 pts.
  4. I say just do it like college and pros and everybody walk around and socialize
  5. them 4 day school week don't sound too hard to me. I heard that's getting pretty popular
  6. Uh depends. I just remember back in my day it was pretty fun and the entire community used to come out to support and participate.
  7. Is it me or is every high school pep rally these days are boring and nobody has school spirit? I just left one this morning and it was pitiful.
  8. Anyone got any streaming info on this game? I'll be out of town for work
  9. Melissa is that good. I watched this game on stream and they completely dominated Argyle in every way
  10. 4A D2...no. Carthage won't have a game with 7 pts this year. 4A D 1.. depends. I think they would have a nice matchup with Stephenville or China Springs. I think Carthage would push to make a state run with 4A D1. 5A D2 would be tough. Not enough depth, but it would be fun to watch.
  11. I think nowadays a lot of districts know how to move money from place to place without raising the taxes to an outrageous number. Longview's didn't pass and they wouldn't have to pay a dime. I think it has to do with the townspeople. If they're older, they are gonna want to preserve as much as possible. Younger generations wants newer things. On the flip side many younger people don't pay attention to elections because they are over politics anyways. Voting in this country is so underused it is pitiful. Many people complain or careless about voting and then will complain about why something did or didn't pass. This is why you see in small towns where the same people push their agenda, it can become toxic.
  12. I heard it could be an outside hire.
  13. Yeah this is definitely funny but true. Nothing in that town to bring people in. No athletic talent passed down from generation to generation. Recipe for a tradition of losing seasons.
  14. projected guy. I saw a comment of an announcement earlier this week
  15. If you move out of district, you can return back to your home district with I think a 2 week "ban", but it will be a calendar year ban if you return to a district where you are not in district. Ex. If I live in Whitehouse and go to school there, but I transfer to legacy I will have to sit out a calendar year (varsity sports). If I go to Legacy for a day then move back I will be eligible because of living in the district. That is why a lot of ppl move during middle school years to avoid the ban.
  16. I don't think their schools would sign off on them
  17. I've heard Hampton and Stoker have gone back to their previous schools. Maybe I'm late to this but it has been confirmed.
  18. Provide more job opportunity. Plants factories. Hire employees who have kids that play .
  19. Am I the only person who lives in ETX and still doesn't know where this place is???
  20. I wish Coach King the best for his career, but like the saying says "all good things come to an end". When King retires, who would be the next in line? Kind of like Nick Saban at Bama..who would want that pressure???
