  1. As far as I know there is only one. https://texasbob.com/stadium/stadium.php?id=1241
  2. Decatur is starting to put it all together too. After their semi-finals loss to CS last year they had high hopes coming into 2023, but got off to a rocky start. Lost early by a point to Stephenville and by 7 to Anna. Their 1 point loss to Alvarado is a head scratcher though.
  3. Has anyone seen the stats for this game? I'm pretty sure Van only attempted 3 passes. I'm curious how many rushing yards they had....
  4. Food for thought: Center is 5-1, only loss to #15 (La) North Desoto (4A) . https://highschool.si.com/louisiana/2023/10/11/top-25-louisiana-high-school-football-rankings-10-11-2023 Non-district schedule consisted of 1 3A D2 team (Daingerfield 4-2), one 3A D1 school (Tatum 2-3), 1 4A D2 school (Longview Spring Hill 2-4), and North Desoto. They have outscored opponents 359-236, that's 59.8 for and 39.3 against, per game average. Their opponents record is 18-18. Van is 6-1, only loss to #1 4A D1 Chapel Hill. The rest of the Non-district schedule consisted of 1 5A D2 team (Pine Tree 3-4), and 2 4A D1 schools, Lindale (3-4) and Paris (2-4). They have outscored opponents 234-144, that's a 33.4 for and 20.6 against per game average. Their opponents record is 24-22. Common opponents include district foes Rusk and Canton. Center defeated both by a combined score of 133-85. Van defeated both by a combined score of 84-6. Obviously these two teams are using very different winning formulae. Something will have to give tomorrow. It should be a good one.
  5. He was a couple of years behind me. Didn't really know him but know who he is.
  6. It started before that. We played Lindale in 86. Lindale won in 31-8.
  7. Same thing happened with Van and Grand Saline a several years ago.
  8. There were no votes for Decatur, so I'll give them sort of a homer vote.....my son is on the coaching staff there. Gonna be really tough to beat CS.
  9. At 3-0 in district, Van is in the drivers seat. They have Carthage, Center, and Bullard left. If Van beats Center next week they should sew up the 2nd seed.
  10. For sure! Jacoby Alexander would be high on that list too.
  11. Van leads the series 13-6-1. The last time they played was from 2006-2009. 2009 Van 42 Rusk 8 2008 Van 31 Rusk 10 2007 Van 54 Rusk 13. I remember this one...Jermie Calhoun did a front flip into the end zone with no one near him and got flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct. Lol 2006 Van 42 Rusk 28
