Yes, we have to clean some things up and yes we are half way through the season. New staff gets it cleaned up and wins 3 or 4 out of last 5. It's possible with a good attitude and catch a break or two.

(21-14) W Nac - Tough one with TCH (48 - 14)L PT - Should take Jville (42-21) W Marshall - I want to see this one. I agree they've been hard to tell so far. This week will be the tell/tell (35 - 21)L THigh - Just a diff level, IMO Whitehouse - Should beat Hendo. This will tell their level for sure. (28-21) W

We (MP) are very disappointed that we didn't come our with a W Friday. However, we held an athletic LE team to 99 yds total offense for the night. Two special teams turnovers and gave them the ball at the 7 and 19. Those were their two scores started. Now, we have to get that cleaned up. Offense plenty of yardage, just shot ourselves in the foot with critical penalties that kill drives and missed some plays we should've made. All that was self induced, so we have a chance to clean it up and get it lined out with this new staff. Effort, attitude and coaching has been great. Gotta figure out how to 'win'. Defense keep working, clean up special teams, offense - it's time to convert yardage and opportunities. If we do, we are in the playoff hunt, if not it will be a woulda coulda shoulda thing.

Hope not because they (MP players and coaches) are busting it to try to improve and doing things the right way. Proud of that, just hope it goes in the right direction this week. LE is always loaded with talent.

Before anyone starts bashing, we are all disappointed about the loss to SS last week. What are your thoughts on this week? Can MP get it in the right direction or will it take a couple more weeks? How good is LE this year?

Didn't know that about the schedule or staff from last year.. That can really cause a downward spiral. Glad to see things are getting better. We are not more talented this year. We graduated some dudes. However, we do have more playing, providing more depth. We have more athletes now, just the ones that graduated had a couple special ones in there. Not saying at all that special ones can't develop out of this group, jus saying until we prove something, I can't say more talented. With our attitude and effort improving, if we continue to learn the new systems, it could get fun around here. Can't wait for tomorrow night in Milk country!

I don't think that's right. Protocol used to be a 5 day process, unless it has changed. So, I think it would depend on how he was Saturday. Could be wrong. Someone update me please. I'd bet Hampton is getting a ton of reps this week in case. We shall see.

Don't forget that MP's center went out in the first half (shot gun snaps and timing are kinda important). MP's QB went out early 3rd Q. MP had a TD called back in the 3rd Q. MP was crossing the goal line and fumbled (4th Q) (Prob a TD, but was ruled a fumble). MP snapped a ball over the QBs head (4th Q) for a fumble lost. All this and Week 1 of a new system on both sides of the ball. I'm just glad we held it together through all of that! Pitt will be fine, they may make the playoffs this year and make a deep run the next couple years.

First road game for MP. So, will be interesting to see if the new staff can focus them on the road. Routine means a lot and they don't have one yet. I'll say that I think the coaches will do a good job preparing them. If MP comes out flat, 20-14 MP. If MP comes out with energy and focus, 34-6 MP. Prob will fall somewhere between the two. Either way, I'll take MP.

Pitt won both sub varsity games last night. I've heard a lot of talk coming from over there throughout the week. Can't believe they're not posting, just talking so far!
