  1. When this gets passed, what will the ramifications be for UIL? Changes/Rules etc.
  2. That would be great! Don't know if Celina would do it though.
  3. Huumm Interested to see this one!
  4. Couldn't put this one down. Great story. Good Luck young man!
  5. Ended up going to the game just because. Here’s my take. 33-6 and really wasn’t even that close. 1. Hooks, Don’t run your mouth all week and give a team like Dfield ammo. They won’t back down and they are more athletic than you. 2. No idea how Dfield’s interior played all year. I heard it was their weakness. Well, they did a good job tonight. Maybe the biggest difference maker. 3. Dfield’s coaching didn’t kill them, I have to give them kudos. Much better job tonight. Meanwhile, Hook’s coaches whine and cry a lot. Didn’t have to against us because they beat up on us, but it came out tonight. 4. Hooks, y’all can say all you want, but as a whole, you didn’t want none of the blue Tigers. 5. Dfield can actually kick an extra point. Lol. Don’t even remember them punting, so can’t tell you about that. 6. Most impressed with Dfield’s QB. He’s much better than I anticipated. 7. Dfield now has to make sure they don’t have the post hype let down next week. From what I saw tonight, I’d say they can handle Wet Wusk, but Dfield has had some let downs and disappointments the past few years. I hope our ET neighbors play at the level they did last night and take care of the Waiders. Good Luck
  6. Man, all this back and forth. Yall making me want to pack up and go to this one too!
  7. I'd think yall would have a lot easier time with them than the winner of this one!
  8. Wet Wusk better just hope the winner of this game is beat up and exhausted next week!
  9. Probabilities 25% - Dfield gets on a roll and blows out Hooks 25% - Dfield plays relatively clean, Limits stupid mistakes, turnovers and penalties and wins a close one. 25% - Hooks plays determined, clean hard nosed and prevails in the end. 25% - Hooks is better than Dfield gives credit and capitalizes on multiple Dfield screw ups and blows them out. I don’t think I’ve ever had the feeling in a game that all the scenarios are equally as likely to happen. I think this is a huge part of the excitement for this one. IMO, most intriguing 2nd round game in the state this year. Good luck to both teams.
  10. This game could literally be Dfield by 40, close or Hooks by 40. Sounds crazy. Daingerfield - more athletic than almost any team in 3A year in and year out. Should have won it all multiple times the past 5-6 years. They play hard but can be beat by a team that goes right at them. If they were more disciplined, I think they would have twice the state championships that they have. And, that’s saying a lot since they have 6. Poor reflection on coaching … yes. Sorry guys, just telling it like it is. Now Hooks has some years where they’re really athletic. This is one of those years. They don’t out athlete Daingerfield, but definitely cancel out a lot of it. So, imo this isn’t one of those games where Dfield simply wins because they’re more talented. Problem with Hooks is, and this is what I can’t figure out, why do they constantly have early playoff exits? All they trash talk and hype probably gives Dfield the slight advantage because they’re used to it. Literally, flip a coin to who wins. I think Dfield is who dictates it. If they play sloppy and undisciplined, they’ll get beat and could get embarrassed. If they play clean and don’t act foolish all night and don’t have multiple turnovers, huge penalties etc. it could be tough for Hooks. Hooks just can’t let Dfield get in their heads, which they may already be. Coaching advantage - Hooks Athletic advantage - Dfield Playoff/tradition - Dfield Special teams - Hooks Discipline - Hooks Offense - Hooks Defense - Dfield Can’t even pick a winner. Just comes down to which Daingerfield team shows up!
  11. MP did some updating a year or two ago. Good venue and location for 3A and 4A teams first couple rounds.
  12. There is some truth in this statement. I've seen poorly coached D'field teams win simply because they could out athlete everyone. Now, when someone can cancel out that athleticism, then coaching and discipline become more important. D'field, while having many achievements should've won twice as many state championships as they have. Not knocking those teams that did, but those were the years you had talent, support AND good coaching.
  13. We just got throttled by Hooks. So, I'll hope we regroup this week and get back on track before I go to talking too much.
  14. I will take my humble pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. ReGroup Bears! Good Job Hornets.
