I bet there are candidates in the 4-10 group that would be good candidates-they need to look through that group. Those were the guys that wanted it initially.

Henderson is split, (4A) Regardless on Burnham's qualifications, he got the job...so why not support him, welcome him, ask how you can help, and rally behind him.

Still no coach announced…the hiring process must not be going smoothly….

Word is they have three finalists all with Hendo ties..been on staff and/families have lived there before…. I am not sure home-cooking is what will revive Hendo and put them in the ranks of the others in their district like Lindale, Kilgore and C Hill. Really hoped they would branch out and not just consider former assistants. The last state championship was almost 13 years ago. Hope it works out for them.

Is this person on staff at Hendo? If so - I don't see how they can hire someone that has been on staff. I would think a fresh start would be what they need.

With the success East Texas teams have had, there are multiple coordinators that would be good candidates and could bring other coaches from those programs with them to help bring Hendo back to success.

Whitehouse doesn’t. It’s right down the road. A 5A yes, but also a small East Tx town.

Application deadline is posted as January 8th, I would imagine interviews will be in the next week or two.

Or maybe instead of Wing T they should go Straight T like PSU did in their bowl game to score...

You’re right-I got the white demographics wrong, but they are over 50% Hispanic. Look in the stands when CH was losing and compare. No one showed up when CH was 2-8. Then look when CH is winning and when Tyler High use to win-a lot to compare here. Here is the last report on CH for last year. Regardless, those CH coaches have something Tyler High needs-the way and a record of winning. When Tyler High has to REPOST the job, people aren’t lining up to take it. That’s all I’m saying man. I doubt SOC coordinators are coming to Tyler High.
