  1. I agree, Mineola rode that horse all season long and from what I am hearing it's going to be a tough few years. There is alot of talent coming but it's going to be 2-3 years.
  2. Wake up call? Grandview was suppose to win and they were probably favored by at least 2 TD's. There was nobody out there predicting Mineola to win. Mineola would had to play their best game of the year to beat Grandview. Don't sleep on Pottsboro!
  3. Yup, if Mineola can play their game it will be interesting as they are all about ball control and chewing up the clock which they did to Jefferson. Mineola's problem is the defense that has difficulty stopping most teams. They defense has been inconsistent all year and they have several injuries, the defense probably played their best game of the year vs Jefferson. I think this game is going to be a high scoring with both teams running down the field on offense and it's going to come down to defense which I believe the Grandview defense is far and away better then Mineola. The money is on Grandview but I think Mineola is going to go in with nothing to lose
  4. I don't recall Mineola and Grandview playing anytime recently for the only time they would play would be in the playoffs because of the distance between the two.
  5. I'm still trying to figure out why this game is in Jerry World and ticket prices are $15 for an Area Football game. Sounds like someone is looking for attention. I assumed this game would be played in Sulphur Springs or Mt. Pleasant due to the location of the two teams.
  6. That's Mineola's game. Run! They can throw the occasional pass or two but if they are averaging 7-8 yds a carry then why pass it.
  7. I think West will win. MV lost their QB early in the season and have pretty much relied on the running game all season.
  8. Once again, I'm sure almost everyone is going to pick Grandview just like they picked Jefferson. Mineola is going in with nothing to lose which makes them somewhat dangerous especially if there defense can play like they played against Jefferson. The problem with Mineola is they typically get down early and have to play comeback and end up trading points most of the games because teams have a hard time stopping them and the defense has a hard time stopping their opponent. How the defense plays for Mineola will decide if this is a good game or a blowout.
  9. I think everyone I talked to thought Jefferson was just going to run away with this. The way Jefferson played last night it surprises me were the #1. In fact, the entire 5-3A division took out 6-3A division last night. Mineola had a game play and Jefferson had no answers. It was like Jefferson came in thinking they had it already won and were shell shocked.
