Serious question. If you’re the head man at NL or SH, do you leverage the improvements made into a job that isn’t terrible? Best case scenario for both is a 4th seed and a date with Carthage in the 1st round.

I’d flip Spring Hill and Pitt. Spring Hill lost to Sabine 64-20 while Pitt beat them 56-28.

I think NL will finish 3rd. This game was more than likely for 3rd place. Sabine beat Spring Hill 64-20. Pittsburg beat Sabine 56-28.

NL by 6. Their defense has been lights out. I’d be willing to bet that 70 percent of the points they have given up have came from the offense allowing TDs and fumbling the ball in their own territory. If their offense can finally take care of the ball, I expect a low scoring game.

Things aren’t looking good for Chisum. With Paris, NL, and Prairiland all starting off strong, Chisum is the one show in town that is hard to watch.

Does Paris come away with the upset or does Gilmer get back on track?

North Lamar is 2-0 for the first time in almost a decade as they aim to secure a 3-0 start. Bonham is 1-1 coming off of a 45-6 loss vs Scurry-Rosser.

All the schools in Lamar county pay teachers like crap. Chisum pays teachers the State minimum. Paris pays 500 more than North Lamar. I imagine they pay more than schools on the Oklahoma border.

What’s the deal with Paris? It feels like they have an incredibly high turnover rate when it comes to assistant football coaches. Is the pay bad? Is their too much teaching involved with the jobs? I’m curious why the turnover is so high there compared to other schools in the area

Does anyone know of any assistant jobs that are open or may be opening in Region 8?

Their HC was forced to resign a month or so ago. Has anyone heard who the new guy is? Are they waiting to post the job or are they hiring within?
