  1. I will go out on a limb by myself then. Hall of Famer Eddie pulls big upset vs. the Cardinals. GC 21 Maud 20
  2. I have seen both and I believe H.S. is too much for DeKalb. DeKalb is much improved but not quite there yet. Hughes Springs 35 to 14. Hughes Springs will be to big up front for DeKalb.
  3. Eddie Jackson, he has won 5 state champonships and been to 9 I believe. He has already been inducted to the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame and if Genoa stays with him they will continue to improve.
  4. T high wins, defense plays to potential this week.
  5. Failing to understand when the Texas High people became scared of anyone, I assure you you guys have beaten better teams then this one in the past 5 years. Hope the kids and coaches don't have the same feelings you guys have.
  6. If i am not mistaken Lufkin beat John Tyler 14-13, Texas High beat them 42-14. I don't really see how you can say Lufkin would beat Texas High, not a very good post on your part in my opinion. T-High in a dog fight, by 7
  7. I don't know about out coached lets look at it realistically. Same coaches 2 years ago Hooks wins by 40+, last year 2 point game, this year PG by 40. Maybe its more the jimmys and joes rather than the Xs and Os.
  8. I am not a PG hater but hope Hooks wins this one good luck to both sides. Still predicting a closer game than most think with a late PG touchdown to win. (hope I am wrong)
  9. That is pretty good trackisdead, I have to give you credit. I can also tell you ARE from PG though by your name, you guys are the only school in this area that your name fits.
  10. Oh I am sorry I missed it by 6 points. I still have to think the 2A districts are better than the 3A and Daingerfield won easily over Atlanta last week. If you think 16AAA is the toughest district in the state you are sick. You don't have to look out of East Texas to figure that out. The 4A district is way tougher and the 2A district is as well. Your name also tells me all I need to know about you "Hwkgrad"
  11. Did not mean to quote you, did it accidentally
  12. Hooks beat them by about 50 two years ago and pg won by 2 last year. Hooks was also down last year and PG was supposed to be up and Hooks almost beat them. Say what you want to but the 2a districts in NET are better than the 3a districts. Something to be said for them ole' country boys in NET. With that being said I will go with PG in a close one since PG has 3 of Hooks' best players. PG 24 Hooks 17
  13. So enrollment probably doesn't matter, T hIgh better be ready
  14. I believe they are the #1 ranked school in all of Arkansas
  15. As for the personal attacks such as moron and all that stuff, that's fine I can live with it Us smarter people would call it common sense not moronic
  16. I think you guys are taking my post way out of context. When I refer to the "stupidest stuff" I am referring to the KU comments. Secondly I will admit that I am not from the Dallas area and have not heard of any other allegations that may have been made about S.O.C. I do think however that crucifying a Supt., coach and player over one incident is silly, It sounds like that is not the case however. With all this said I still believe that the teacher should have to be able to show some proof and I am glad the kid ended up where he is. I believe that one grade in the ninth grade is a very minute detail in the grand scheme of things. It was 6 years ago let it go.
  17. This is the stupidest stuff I have ever heard. First of all talking about Kansas isn't even in the realm, what did they have to do with it. Second of all lets look at what was best for everyone in the situation. The kid probably would have got his credits anyway and still be in the same place he is now, but lets say he didn't. Would you rather have him still living in SOC walking the streets or working at McDonalds instead of going to the NBA and being able to give his family a better life just because he had a problem with ALGEBRA. YOu use that subject a lot in real life don't you. You have to question the teacher coming out 5 years later. Come on guys quit hating winners, this is a ridiculous topic.
  18. I think Buna was supposed to beat Hooks last year too and it wasn't even a great match up. I think NE Texas ball is a little different than the rest. We have had a team in the state championship out of this district the last two years in a row so just getting into the playoffs probably isn't easy. NB in two if Mayo is ready, in 3 if not.
  19. Teddy Hubbard also from Hooks 2A went to OU, but I think he was the year before last
  20. Will Midlebrooks LE 3A Bigs Zach Fowler LE 3A Texarkana College Brandon Choate Hooks 2A Panola
  21. NB will still be good I believe HS, LK, and D'field loses most of their talent but the district breaks up I think PP, Hooks and Dekalb definetly have a chance to be the three in their district. NB could possibly still get 2nd in their 3A district behind PG as for the other district not sure maybe Jefferson, CH, LK tough to leave HS out but I think they might finally hit a down year
  22. Poteet in 2, Hope i am wrong because I am more of an E.T. guy but I don't think S.S. can beat them they are very good.
  23. Actually I believe Hooks graduated about 11 seniors last year and their only returning starter is at PG, so he had no returners and went 8-6 (I think) with last years JV team. I believe he only had 2 seniors on the team and probably was the youngest team in the district. One coach we may have left out (don't know his name) is the PP coach. I know they are not good but they have definetly been the most improved since he showed up.
  24. Well if we are talking about the whole district lets include everyone. NB does have the MOST talent, however HS has the BEST talent and when that comes in the form of pitchers that will usually do it in high school. The team with talent year in and year out that I think underachieves is D'field. As far as coaches what about Ruth at Hooks, He went to the state championship last year, 3 or 4 rounds deep the two years before that and probably really and trully did the most with the least this year. I think they were one game out of the tie, and split with NB and beat D'field both times and they really had no business being on the field with either one of them in my opinion. I would go this route, not that my opinion matters 1. Stewart 2. Ruth 3. Henry 4. Green
