I went to several play-off games this year and whitehouse had the best fans BY FAR!!!! I didn't hear anything negative and the fans actually stayed until the bitter end. You should have seen the so-called "dawg" fans leave Lobo stadium when we lost to tatum. And i thought the officiating was top-notch.

I praise Deus for being the first to say that it's ridiculous for more than one team being in the play-offs and that one winner from 1-A through 5-A would be great. Back in the "dark ages" that's the way it was. I realize some districts are tough, but that's just the way it is and you've got to play harder than your opponent. I think it's become all about the money......more play-off games, more money generated. But I just feel like first is first.......no one remembers second.

This is long, but it's a must read. Poor sportsmanship at it's worst!

Flowjack said it all......another person wanting to live vicariously through their child!!!!!!!! -
For the most part i know teachers do their best to teach all kids regardless of their "athletic" persuasion. There are, unfortunately, those that DO change grades so that a student may participate and it's NOT just athletics. There's many clubs/organizations where a passing grade must be achieved before a student is allowed to go on trips, etc. And whoever mentioned that a special ed. child was sort of passed on might want to know those days are quickly coming to an end. Washington/Austin is buckling down on teachers who just pass these kids because the paper work is a hassle. In "dawgland" our coaches are SUPER because they actually go from teacher to teacher every single week and ask about their athletes. They care!!!!!

My brother coaches in West Texas and unfortunately he and his wife divorced a few years back. Many of the reasons why centered around the endless hours away from home and dealing with a game whose outcome is decided sometimes by a teenager. I think coach's wives deserve TONS of pats on the back.....just dealing with "fans" is reason alone not to be a wife. It has GOT to be hard to ignore someone belittling your husband who you know is working his tail off to better these kids.

I'd LOVE to meet yev_kasmin......he's great!!!!! take it easy on ocrebel83......i don't think education is any more important to them than having a winning football team!!!!

when it comes to the oc/diana rivalry, it's all a "mind" game. it will go to the team that wants it the most.....ability probably won't be a factor so much as the mental angle. i'm still waiting to hear about the oc's AD leaving. guess he doesn't want to spill the beans.

diana wins this one but not by much. hey a win is a win!!!! is it true the AD from oc is looking????????
