  1. WOW, What a year for Carthage Bulldawg Football! This season is my favorite Carthage Team (Well, every year is my favorite team)... Our kids played with heart and determination and never seamed to get rattled week after week. Although several of the games we played this year had my blood pressure at stroke level. Coach Surratt, he is in my opinion, the best in the state of Texas! Coach Preston, is in my opinion, is the best defensive coordinator in the state of Texas. As of the rest of the coaching staff.... Yeah the best in the State of Texas! I am a proud Carthage Bulldog.
  2. Wow... Sure hope we get can this thing turned around. Not sure what happened to our defense or our passing game. Still proud to be a Carthage Bulldog!
  3. The 1983 Dangerfield team (saw them play Carthage that year),the 2008 Carthage Bulldogs, and 2013 Carthage Bulldogs.
  4. I have am very excited about this Carthage team. I have watched both scrimmages and the Gladewater game, which was only a quarter and a half. I have seen improvement on both sides of the ball each time they took the field. I believe Davis has a very good chance of being “special” (as some have said he can “spin” it) and I like the improvements the offensive line made from week to week. There is also Ingram in the back field who can take it the distance from anywhere on the field and we talented receivers and a talented tight end. On the defensive side of the ball they are quick, not scared to bring the wood, they swarm to the ball and I think this defense only gets better with each snap of the ball. The only thing I know about L.E. is the outcome of their game with Gilmer and some of the stats involving that game. Therefore I am unable to speak intelligently about L.E. BUT I am a Carthage Bulldog so my pick is….. Carthage!
  5. Unless Gilmer's Defense can stop WOS's Offense... this one may get ugly
  6. Appears JT has an uphill battle in the second half.
  7. Picking Gilmer in this one. I just may make a weekend out of it as well...
  8. With out a doubt this is a knock on Coach Surratt and I take offense to it. I do not know El Campo's Coach so I can't really say anything about him. But how many rings does he have? Maybe that victory in 2012 was gift wrapped and given to El Campo but apparently El Campo kept the wrapping paper and threw the gift away because Stephenville beat them like a rented mule. To say the El Campo coach would have 10 rings with the talent that Surratt has had...... LMAO, apparently you are implying that by that statement that Surratt is a far less coach than El Campo's.... You are entitled to your opinion as is everyone else but your statements about Surratt are asinine. Coach Surratt, in my opinion, is the best coach in the game. The four rings he has tells the tale. This year at one point his team was 1-4 after loosing 18 or so starters from last years state championship run. (Yes Surratt and the Dawgs won it last year.) They are now playing in the second play off game of the year, now that is coaching! Whether Carthage wins or looses Friday, I stand by the Coaches and our kids. We already got four and we are looking for more.
  9. Gilmer has more talent at the skilled positions than what should be allowed... Congrats Gilmer, BUT I still love my Dawgs and back them no matter what happens each and every Friday night. In my opinion Surratt is the best coach in state of Texas and he has the best staff in the state.
  10. You are right! No matter what progression the QB is or is not going through, he is hitting the receivers in the hands. The receivers are fast, very fast and they are getting open, so that is half the battle.... Now we just need them to catch the ball, If they ever start catching the ball...... LOOK OUT
